Just saw today that you can be banned from the Borderlands forum for misgendering
a *character* in the game who is a "they". This is a game abou;a Mad Max type
society on a lawless frontier space colony - but misgendering a cyborg can
get you banned in real life from it.
The problem is that social justice war is an attack on *everything* that "the patriarchy" enjoys - and making it *miserable* is *actually* the goal. They *want* to suck the joy out of everything that normal people enjoy - and there is nothing that is safe from the influx of their agenda.
It is a little depressing.

@ParanoidDelusions: My policicy with services that get political with you
is to drop them. They need our money more than we need them. You can always
find some other game to play.
Look, there are issues that can be problematic and it is ok for the service moderators to tell you that something is problematic and please abide to certain rules. It is not ok when they come and ban you over it without prior notice. Or send a rude warning to you in such a way that they make clear that your "kind" is not welcome to their service. That is bad PR as we, as customers, must not tolerate it.

I agree completely, darknetuser. The idea that you can get banned for misgendering
a fictional character in a video game that is based on a lawless frontier
society is... just somewhat amusing.
I'd think it would be better to just let anarchy sort it out - and maybe in-game you would get wandering gangs of trans-activists looking for homophobes and transphobes to PK. It is supposed to be a libertarian world - let it be.

Wait... 'MMO horse simulators'?
WTF?
You know, Massive Multiplayer Online games in which you manage a ranch and coordinate horse breeding programs tournaments and the like. And pet horses. And groom horses. You get the idea.
Oh.
I definitely didn't see it that way.
I thought it was a kind of furry-esque 'be the horse' simulation where you romp and play in the pasture, and occasionally deal with humans trying to ride you.

I think those actually exist too. Now that you mention it, I should research and register up for one of those :)

Yeah, you might want to find a non-furry one if you *actually* like horses
:)

I think there used to be one about running a herd but I don't know what its name is, or if it is still around.
I've been playing Smite (smitegame . com) for a while; has anyone here played it?
