The Lord's Prayer is not from the Jewish liturgy, plain and simple. It's not like reading a chapter of Psalms. (which would be less denominational.

Still, bottom line, my parents know it and feel weird about it.

I also know all the words to silent night... (which my father  - a rabbi - told my school principal I was not allowed to sing)

Being the only Jewish kid in a public school is fun...

I remember having to bring in a note on Green Eggs and Ham day to explain that I could not eat them in a boat, on a moat, with a goat... etc.

Or while wearing a hat.  Good one Tril, had my wife and I laughing pretty hard on that one.

Do you have a brother named Kyle? ;-p

triL, your dad clearly sent you to public school on purpose...

Kyle is young enough to be my son.

And my dad was an Army Chaplain.

He went where they sent him.

And I went where they sent him.

Oklahoma was certainly an interesting experience, though my 2nd grade teacher was completely fabulous about it.

Kyle may not be Jewish, he was adopted. He is however Canadian and that is unforgivable.

I knew who you were talking about - was just pointing out that he's too young to be my brother...

The smallest achievement to date:

Not all of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish® crackers have smiles on them. Last night I shook the bag, three crackers
came out, ALL of them had smiles on them!

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Check and check.  Uncle Frank says it is o.k.

They have an army. They were fun to work with in theater. Unlike many of our NATO brethren, they actually wanted to leave the base and find the people making life suck for the Afghans. They were excellent support with good equipment and training. And also the best coffee in theater, even in the field.

Tried to do the right thing, and got thrown under the bus.

I've learned my lesson. From now on I will try to do the wrong thing.

The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round.

Will it go 'round in circles? Will it fly high like a bird up in the sky?
