Western media are deliberately trying to incite race war. They should be in jail, or preferably dead.

The Anti-Semitic Flat Earthers are almost all getting information
distilled from the Nation of Islam - and you can tell by the rhetoric
of the conspiracy that this is where it is coming from, once you've
heard it from enough people to put the common link together.

These people are becoming a huuuuge problem. For example, Linda Sarsour's bodyguard is always FOI, and nobody in the hard left gives two shits about distancing themselves from those folks.

Not so long ago, we had a well-known academic or journalist, I'm drawing a blank on the name, talking down to Jews about how their concerns about the Nation of Islam don't matter because there are other groups out there that are more victimized.

"Erasure" is such a popular term on the left; you would think she'd have realized that this is erasure.

This is where the hard left's hierarchy-of-victimhood ideology has taken us, and it's absolutely toxic. DSA types are the worst offenders here.

So that works then:

You can't eavesdrop on a router that doesn't work.

See? Problem solved!

You sound like you sympathize with the Jewish. Notice I said Jewish, not "The Jews"?

That is because, according to a large majority of the people I am describing who believe in flat-earth theory, they also believe that the Jewish are *not* Jews.

The actual Jews, God's chosen people, are from Africa - and the Jewish, a light skinned people not from Africa, appropriated their title.

Also - at least one guy wouldn't use the word "Hello," because the word "hell" was in it.

Finally, Egypt is and has always been a black African nation, and the Jewish have perpetuated a myth that light skinned Africans live there, not black Africans. And Australia is just a bunch of method actors on a sound stage.

My trip down that rabbit hole was very entertaining, at least. There is more - but these are kind of the highlight reel.

The earth cannot possibly be flat,  and I have incontrovertible proof:

If the Earth were flat, the cats would have pushed everything off.

Sounds like you're talking about the Black Hebrew Israelite movement, which I thought was not really the same thing as NOI. BHI were the guys that committed a couple mass murders in New Jersey last year.

So, what happens with these things is they distill through their culture and their community. Someone from Nation of Islam gets high with someone from the BHI movement, and they share their ideas. Those dudes then go hang out with a dozen other people, who post on Facebook, and it distills through their network of friends, until I'm listening to some guy at the warehouse who isn't actually affiliated with either spreading some bastardization distilled through the street.

But it used to be pretty much solely the provenance of white guys who lived in trailer parks and drove pickup trucks. Now, lots of communities are in on the action.

Did it, though? Patient Zero (on the left, at least) for this sort of brain rot has always been Chomsky, and the left loves him. It's a little harder to get access to his uniquely punishing-to-read writings these days, as a lot it has moved behind some form of paywall--which is a good thing, but not nearly enough. I feel like his sort of thinking has always been popular amongst a certain sort of bearded, chin-stroking academic type, but it's rapidly gaining broader currency on the left.

Especially given the increasing currency of Intersectional thinking.

Blame social media? Blame legitimately mistreated groups (I believe the word these days is "marginalized") like LGBTQIA (to include kinkster) communities that have trouble seeing beyond their victim narratives?

It's not like there arne't victim groups out there, but when grievance comes central to your whole politics, there are some problems and particular forms of blindness that occur.

*becomes central, oops.

And this leads full circle back to the abovementioned trailer park types, by the way. Their sense of grievance is very much relevant.

So i got this 'covid relief' card instead of a check last week. Going to cost me 11 dollars to get my money. ATM Fees. And you cant take it out all at once.  What a crock. its not the amount as 11 bucks isn't going to break me, but the principle of it all. ( however, it could effect some people who are really hurting. That money could be gas to get to work a couple of days.. )

THEN i get a letter from the IRS today that I got $12.93 in interest from them for some unknown reason, and have to declare it as income. .wtf? Where/what/why?

This is pork. This is how graft works.

They give you $600, and someone they know takes $11 back from it. And you go, "Meh, it sucks, but not that much..."

But multiplied over all of those $600 checks, that $11 is a big figure - taken, "legally" from your tax dollars and redistributed to someone who is already rich.

Figure out who is charging the $11 fee - they're the real beneficiary of the stimulus check.

Ya, i know. But it doesn't make it any less irritating :)

I guess the next will be via card too. And with the same restrictions it means 3 transactions to convert direct cash instead of 2.   ( 600 per transaction, per day )

I dont want to 'use' the card, it juts feeds back to the Feds what was bought. f-em. none of their business.   ( actually its going in the bank, but still none of their business )

Government is the largest organized criminal gang in the world - and they're responsible for most of the actual organized criminal organizations too. This isn't a conspiracy claim - it is the truth. The same people who run your government are the heads of organizations that engage in actual financial fraud networks. They're the ones who run the spam servers, the penny stock scams, the insurance scams... the social security scams. The underworld crime is just ran as subsidiary corporations off the legitimate ones - with enough plausible deniability that the board and executives can say that it was a rogue part of the conglomerate that had been infiltrated by organized crime, if something goes wrong.

I have run the numbers already.

Any pistol crowssbow you can reload with one hand in a reasonable amount of time is bound to deliver too small of a hit as to be a viable weapon.

This is due to the fact that if you are going to throw a projectile with dynamic energy E, the weapon has to store the energy first. Crossbows store potential energy by deforming flexible solid components.

A crossbow is more complex than this, but in order to make it undestood, Energy stored is a function of the degree of deformation of the deformated components (ie the bow part) and the elasticity of the deformated component.

In order to store big ammounts of energy, you either have to deformate the bow quite a lot (ie pull the string three yards) or have a very strong bow (one that stores a lot of energy by pullitn the string a single inch).

Pistol crossbows are too small, so your only bet is to have a bow that is very rigid, so it will store a lot of energy with small deformations.

Now the fun begins. The definig characteristic of ridig materials is that they are hard to deformate. In order to deformate a rigid steel beam you need 700 ib.

I have a REAL crosswob and, in a full rifle size, it is burdersome enough to reload.

You CAN make a pistol crossbow that you can reload with your hand, but it would need an arbalest-like mechanism. Else you would not be strong enough to pull the string.

Its intended purpose is just to toss cheap bolts into a target in the back yard.  If i can get it strung, it will do fine with that.  Going to end up getting a commercial stringer, giving up on trying to improvise.

Ammo is so expensive now, and so hard to find, been looking for cheap alternatives.
