to see.
I exercised executive decision and insisted that while on the road we stay at IHG hotels where possible, since I have a rewards club card with them.
So both times we came through West Virginia (on the way to and from Kentucky) we stayed at Holiday Inn properties.
It wasn't a hard sell, once I pointed out that if I earn enough points we can use it for a free night somewhere just for fun.
It became an even bigger win when my rewards club card got us a free upgrade to a suite.
But we were still in West Virginia.
