Personally i still refuse to accept it. He cheated, hes not our president. He may have the power, but screw recognizing him as such.

On the 2nd part, i think the war is just getting ramped up and by fall it will be real war. As fast as they are killing freespeech, i dont think it will take much longer than that before the pin is pulled. I may be wrong and everyone just cowers in their house ( until they are taken away ), but i have been predicting civil war from the day O got into office.  He started us down this path and it was just a matter of time before it all was in place.  Before that we just argued among ourselves due to differences, not *hate* each other.  we still stood as a country. He changed everything.

The D's want a war, as an excuse for total clampdown of everyone.. They are going to get it, lets hope they lose as it will be our last chance.

Oh, and secession wont work on its own, even tho its totally constitutional for a state to flip the union the bird, it will be like last time " no, you cant do that ". If TX does it, then that is when it starts.

Joe Biden is now my President, and I am a refugee of war living in an occupied country.

Thought id add, when O was elected, i also bitched an moaned for a day or two, but he won, so those are the breaks. Just work to do better next time.  I did not agree with 99.9% of what he did, or his plan for our country, but he was the elected President using the system our founders created, and i accepted that.  But not this time. No. Even if Biden walked up to me personally to say hi, i would refuse to address him as Mr President. ( or at all really, as I would just turn my back to him. F-him, he wasn't elected. )

The 2nd election for O, there was some question on fraud, but i dont think it was enough % to make difference.  In general Republicans had given up and didnt bother to come out to vote, so of course we lost. Looking back, i suspect that the fraud there was small to remain under the radar, but was the first trial run of ideas to be used later. Hillary was attempt 2, but they had not got enough people in place or their tactics refined enough to pull it off. Until now.

I will give the  D's one bit of credit. They have always played the long game. Even if it takes generations, and there are setbacks its all about the goal post. Republicans cant seem to think that far ahead. Its why they keep compromising and compromising, continually losing ground.. They think in battles, not wars.  And most of them dont think of 'grand ways of crime, cheating and fraud' as part of their daily existence, so are blindsided when it happens. They tend to follow the rules, more or less "why would anyone ignore the rules totally"

Ok, enough frustration venting for this week.  Just going to sit back and watch it burn, until its time.

What is that protocol you use to host the Citadel on a non-standard protocol, Ig?

Might be about time we go silent on HTTPS, Telnet, and SSH.

I really wish the landing page redirect worked without having the entire BBS open. I'm considering locking it back down so that you have to register before you can read or post. It goes against everything I believe in how a Citadel should be configured - But I'm thinking it is time to kick the Google Crawl Bots out.

In under a week.  i honestly thought it would take longer for it to all to collapse and they would all wait until the 21st before they silenced all of us.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/09/tech/parler-suspended-apple-app-store/index.html

Hope they were keeping backups somewhere else. 1 day to transfer that much stuff, may not be enough and i cant imagine the bill. ( AWS charges us for data dumps that exceed our 'allocated limits' ) . Other than self-host, i suspect they are gone. And self-host may not last long either, as they have to have a pipe to the outside...

Next up. Blaze and Newsmax.

Also got a message from a friend on FB couple of days ago. Not seen it before, but now if you get flagged on a fact check you can now either allow it to "cover" your post, or protest and request a review. If you lose the review, your account is deleted.

That is the one advantage of TOR/I2P.  google bot cant easily find it.  And ya, if you lock down view until register. they dont get boo anyway if they do crawl you.

I do agree, free speech should not need to be locked behind a wall.  But, it is 2021. The rules have changed.

And now I've lost a friend.

But I absolutely, absolutely cannot trust someone who says she would have not hesitated to "spray bullets" (her words) and mow down Ashli Babbit.

I don't need or want someone like that in my life. And I definitely cant trust them, in any way.

Curious, did this ex-friend present a reason that Babbit deserved to die?

The liberals have been talking about killing right-wingers for a while, nothing new.

My prediction.  By 2946, mark my words, the democrats will repeal the Twenty-second Amendment. Harris will step down and be replaced by Obama, then Biden will leave office, or Biden will step down, Harris will choose Obama as the VP, then she will step down.
Obama never left DC, Biden is reassembling Obama's cabinet as his.   Obama is still in charge.

I thought perhaps they had some sort of twisted reason, other than her being a conservative white female. Not that its valid, but was curious.

I agree, Obama never left. However i do think much of his party have shifted further left than he seems to be.

Also, I thought the 2946 might have been some kind of inside thing or code. Just a typo?

No, the left have been calling death for anybody to the right for a while.  I remember seeing this a lot as the internet grew during the Bush administration. They will often say they are center left, or left of center.  Anybody who doesn't think the exact same way as they do is too far to the right.

Maybe Obama was playing a moderate until he no longer has to.  His mother and father were both communists.  I believe the CPUSA endorsed him when he ran for President.

Well, ya know, she assaulted the Capitol, which is sacred ground and not the People's House. And what she did was totally the same as the last 160 days of Burn Loot Murder and Anti-First Amendment running wild, burning shit, terrorizing citizens and causing millions of dollars in property damage, all over a leader who's such a tyrant he refused to send the army into places like Portland, and over the fact that cops of all races kill black Americans at a rate far, far lower than black Americans kill each other. So that's why Ashli Babbit totally deserved to get shot in the neck and bleed out.

A short excerpt from the nearly ten thousand word letter I sent my mom:

For a while there, when most Silicon Valley platforms wanted to ban you from using their service, they would come to you with vague weasel words that boiled down to: "This can all be over if you'll just confess and proclaim your guilt." It's libertarian paternalism combined with Maoist struggle sessions, and it's even more ironic, hilarious and disgusting because every major Western social media company was founded using taxpayer money funneled into black budget tech projects whose goal was to produce spying tools that would gather every bit of information that people willingly put online. Facebook sells access to your "direct" messages (notice, they very specifically don't call them private), as well as posts you've supposedly limited access to, and even images that you've uploaded but haven't yet posted. Google sells - hell, gives! - their media partners access to your browsing history.  These folks have some nerve calling their companies "private", especially when they make all their damn money selling our personal info on top of it.

Looks like this week's Reichstag is being g put together.  Pelosi has announced that impeachment is tomorrow.  National Guard is already assembling around the capitol.  I believe this means the busloads of Antifa with MAGA hats are on the way.  I hope I'm wrong.

Unfortunately, the only thing we can hope for is for the Left to attempt something that escalates what the Trump Rally did to the nth degree.

The only hand left to play is to double down.

Actually, this seems to have gone beyond poker analogies. We're playing chicken right now. Pelosi and the Democrats demanding that the 25th be invoked and then pursuing a rushed impeachment in the last 12 days of Trump's administration can only really be seen as an act of aggressive escalation. You could let the man just finish out his term, and he'll be out in a number of days.

On the other hand, it seems like if you knew this was coming - one way to defeat the Democrats and neuter their escalation would be to resign - to peacefully step down and put Pence in charge for the remaining few days. I think if Trump didn't think there was a winning scenario, he is smart enough to play this hand. So, he is standing firm, which raises the escalation.

And the end result seems to be a violent conflict before this is over, that may spread beyond D.C. and consume this entire nation.

Both sides know it, and neither side is letting up on the gas or giving any indication they plan to veer to the side.

Which seems to indicate, at the very least, that things are not as set as we may have come to believe in the last few days.
