The solution is going to be more complex than that.

Shut down Facebook and the entire problem goes away. I promise.

zooer - sounds great - grocery orders here are usually great and they're a mess now - I can't get a date less than 10 days out, and half the stuff doesn't arrive, and people are just shy of selling their souls for eggs...

It was grocery.walmart.com  It must come Walmart store with a grocery section.

Items might be out of stock, if you wait a day it might be in stock. This is why it is good to check your list before the "no changes" limit takes place, an item might be stocked. They pick your items a few hours before your delivery, you might have an item when you assemble your list, when they pick out the items it will be out of stock. They will give you substitutions, for example I ordered a 28lb box of cat liter, they were out so they sent two 14lb boxes for the same price.  I ordered a name brand item, they were out of stock when they went to pick it so they gave me Walmart brand and refunded the difference. There is a "no substitutions" checkbox after checkout but it isn't clearly marked.

The governor of Florida blames residents below Delaware, Greene and
Columbia counties for spreading COVID-19 within Executive Order
20-91.

Fake news, of course. He actually wrote "New York City".

I'd be ok with turning the Cross County Parkway into a wall.

He clearly wrote "many thousands of people fled the New York City region" which is any county below Delaware, Greene and Columbia counties.  I included the link in the original comment.

I would say anybody below the 607, 518, 838 area codes. If you disagree with me you are a fan of Pelosi, voted for Hillary and support Bill Gates plan to reduce the population.

Walmart does not deliver to Modiin, Israel.
The closest they get is Jerusalem, IL (Illinois) :)

We're not looking at half a million dead.... Come on. There's nothing to imply those kind of numbers.

We have already established that for anyone living in New York state, "upstate" is anywhere north of where you are. It then follows that "the New York City region" includes wherever you are.

So really, the only people who can't claim to be part of the NYC region are those living in Buffalo or Syracuse.

However, as someone who lives only about 15 miles away from Hitlery, if wiping out the entire region with the sole purpose of destroying the Clintons is what is required, I am willing to take the hit.

Meanwhile, the DemComs have moved their convention from July 13 to August 17. The early date was originally selected to avoid overlapping with the olympics, but since the olympics have been postponed, they're going back to August.

One may speculate what this means with regard for Dementia Joe. By then it may be obvious to everyone that he was just a placeholder to keep Bernie off the convention floor, so that party insiders can nominate someone by fiat again.

It's also possible that the DemComs want President Trump to have as little airtime as possible to destroy their candidate before the general election.

If it were really only hitting the vulnerable, maybe. But it's not.

If you kept in every person over 60 and everyone with an auto-immune

disease and put everyone back into regular life, you'd still lose

more than half a million Americans. I don't see how that can be

considered an acceptable loss, especially when a high proportion of

that will be medical workers, and there's already a shortage.

Let's say that I am from an affected country.

For isolation to work, you have to "flatten the curve" so you have hospital capacity enough. If your hospital capacity is overwhelmed, your are screwed even if the curve is flat.

Most Western countries don't have hospital capacity enough even after applying curve flattening messures.

Call me a grim person, but I think all Westerns are going to get it. Or nearly all, that's it.

And hospitals are going to be overwhelmed no matter what you do.
I know the virus is no joke, but currently I am more worried about the political and economic implications. Western governments are going to try and make a power grab and people is going to starve. The following crisis is going to turn a 10% mortality rate from the virus into a joke.

Creepy Joe Biden has said he has begun the vetting process for a V.P.  He said he was going to choose a woman, do you think he is asking all potential candidates to send him hair samples so he can sniff their hair?

Israel is currently almost managing to deal with the number of people in hospitals.
They are also building up better facilities and procedures.
Additionally, if they can properly contain it, they may be able to isolate the sick people and keep this at bay.

Assuming that there will be better treatment options and eventually a vaccine, the longer we drag this out, the fewer patients die.
Right now, there's a shortage of beds, a shortage of respirators, a lack of good protocols. People who get sick 6 weeks from now may have a better outcome than those who get sick today.

So yes, flatten the curve.

Because in New York, my cousin was left home alone with a high fever for 11 days, barely strong enough to chew crackers and get to the bathroom - and she was told by video call with a doctor not to bother to go to the ER because if she didn't need oxygen, they'd just send her home.

Israel has set up hotels to take patients like her - they get meals served, there are a handful of medical staff around, and they aren't isolated because they're with other people who've already been confirmed as sick. Maybe in another month, NY will, too. Time is the most important factor here.

My country is enacting a law that criminalizes criticising the actions the government is taking to contain the pandemic. Which is funny because they are basically enacting nothing useful to contain it.

You are in luck IG! Cuomo is planning on seizing.... I mean
sharing... ventilators, masks and other medical supplies from upstate

That doesn't make me lucky, as I live upstate, not in New York City. (Upstate is defined as any part of New York State north of I-287.)

More objectively, my closest hospital (Putnam Valley) is on the "seized from" side of that policy.

I repeat: democrat party insiders have no intention to have a Biden presidency for four or more years. Biden is a delivery system for someone else -- and I'll stick with my prediction that it's Hillary Clinton.

The only thing in question is whether the party intends for Biden to exit at the convention, during the campaign season, or after inauguration day.

And no, the VP is not going to be Mooch Hell Osama. She hasn't worked in her entire life and she's not going to start now.

Cuomo has said that he definitely is not running. Democrats always lie, so that means he's running. Let me be the first to say that voting for Cuomo is equivalent to voting for Hitler.

That having been said, I'm sticking with my prediction that you're getting Hillary.
