Get ready for another round of libtarded NPCs saying "orange man bad"
24/7 just like they did when Trump was campaigning in 2015, and then
when he was Presidented.
That may be a good thing. The fact that they can't help themselves will work against them.
The current demoKKKrat/media strategy is to starve him of attention. Mr. Trump is an energy monster; he can turn any kind of attention in his favor.
In 2016 the media couldn't help but to breathlessly cover everything he said and did because they assumed that their criticism would lead, but that strategy failed. So it's good if they just can't resist trumpeting about how much they hate the bad orange man.
And yes, he clearly won in 2020. No one except low-information partisans believes that the sudden ballot dumps im the middle of the night after they mysteriously closed the polls in swing states were from actual voters.
Oh yea - people who abuse or murder animals should must be euthanized
No doubt about it. Make the punishment fit the crime. Likewise for child abusers, rapists, pro-abortionists, etc.
Even those, if they do it in a cruel manner, should be eradicated, painfully.

i have always felt they should be fed to the animals they abused.

I have a poetic sense of justice. I think we should cut them into steaks and serve them to the socialist crowd who wants farmind destroyed in the name of CO2 reduction. That way you will have less animal abusers and the socialist crowd will get to eat the junk they want.

Balloons!
Oh, that's weird. Last night I wrote a post here that only said "balloons" (with less enthusiasm), but then decided against posting it because I had just been reading about it via clearnet. Yes, I am paranoid, that's why I'm here.
So far 2 in north America + one on the other side of the planet.
This guy i listen to, seems rational, and plugged in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVEhzGtzTBg
Sat Feb 04 2023 09:48:33 AM EST from zelgomerStrangely I have seen several reports of different balloons, but I don't think I've seen any one outlet report on all of them.
My personal feeling about this is a bit less scary/paranoid/etc. And its not like its a secret they are there.
I think mainly 1 of 2 things have happened
- These are really meant for Taiwan, are still in development and in typical Chinese ineptness, got away from them.
- Or its a simple middle finger to the US ( and perhaps others ).

Now, about the difficulty of bringing one down: are they actually difficult to bring down? The two reasons I've heard are 1) at 65k-ft it's too high to engage with aircraft, and 2) the balloon is so big that punching small holes in it wouldn't do much, and missiles fly right through it without exploding.
But to address 1) in 1960 the Soviets shot down a U2 with a SAM. I haven't actually looked up his altitude at the time, but surely it was at least 64k-ft or more, wasn't it?
And to address 2) they also keep saying that it's too dangerous to bring down over populated landspace because the payload is the size of three buses. So can't you shoot THAT with a SAM and not the balloon?
As for satellites: I have seen speculation that it could be ground penetrating radar, which I suppose you can't do from a satellite? I don't know, I'm not up to speed on all the military tech. I don't know whether that holds water or not.
That was sort of part of my middle finger idea too. "f-u, what you gonna do about it" ( and if someone DOES act, take notes )
Sat Feb 04 2023 11:21:37 AM EST from zelgomerCould also be a probe to see how we react.
I doubt it would work from balloon height either.
But id need to do some research.

correct response to avoid showing our hand, so to speak. Supposedly
these things are actually difficult to bring down, and if we are
capable of doing it, is this situation worth revealing that?
And then the other possibility that I neglected is that our defense is so inept we really truly actually can't shoot it down.
That too, and they are afraid of offending their Chinese masters...
I do suspect its not trivial to drop a balloon, but it cant be *that* hard. If it was, we would be investing trillions in them for us in war... and we aren't.

Grumble
Well the theory of not upsetting their masters holds.. piss them off as little as possible.
Sat Feb 04 2023 03:42:45 PM EST from zelgomerWell all of those theories are out. They shot it down off the coast. So they could gave killed it at any time and chose not to...until after it completed its mission.
But, all that said, regardless of original intent or actual threat,
we should have toasted it as soon as it hit Alaska, with a lot of
fanfare, and publicly shamed China.. Would even have been a cheap
win for the DOD and WH "look we protected you:" and potato could get
up and claim it was his idea to shoot it down and say bad things
about Trump or something. But no, even when it falls in their lap,
they F- it up.
IMO the good course of action would have been to toast it without saying a word. If somebody complained (say, a foreign government) I would have send a standard answer "We shoot invaders on sight."
Maybe the whole balloon thing was just a tease to check if the US is a pushover or not.
Does serve as a convenient distraction from papers and laptops. Look over there !!!BALLOON!!!
I wonder if it was all orchestrated between the 2 governments, and the delay was intentional: To piss people off so it would get more news-time, but knowing there was no 'real' threat anyway.
But no, that would be paranoid talk. Right?
