I suspect doing it with NEW fuel would be problematic due to
excessive radiation. But spent fuel, while i wont say is 'safe' its
not 'as bad' and more manageable on the small scale.

When i presented the proposal it was using crystallized aluminum to
safely contain the stuff ( think synthetic sapphire, like in your
watch face ). Now they are using diamond, but same principle.

( but hey, in the movies you can suck energy from another dimension
and it wont hurt you... )

That and nuclear batteries, using nuclear waste for portable use.
Which can be done. I showed my professor how to do that in the
80s.

Interestingly, they did just that in a science-fiction short story I
was
passed for reviewing. They used portable nuclear to power rail
guns :)

The people in this story were undead soldiers brought back to life to avenge Earth's destruction and destroy the alien species that had blasted their homeland. I doubt zombi soldiers would care much for the radiation of the weapons they used.

A world in which zombies exist is a world with no energy problems. Put those zombie soldiers on a treadmill and there you go: instant free green energy for all!

Hmm. Seems like it would be easier to just burn the zombies as fuel.

And to the extent that today's libtards are essentially zombies ... yes we should absolutely dothat.

Looks like several states are pulling funds out of black rock due to ESG.

Seems people are waking up to what is going on in the world to crush us serfs from all angles. Too bad its too late to stop it. Needed to be stopped 40 years ago.

ESG is on its way out. Now let's kill DEI next.

Also, as the smartest person in the universe, I hereby declare that Ron DeSantis shall herein be officially renamed to "Ron Bush Clinton DeSantis" unless and until he declares that he will not challenge President Trump (peace be upon him) for the 2024 nomination.

He needs to do that quickly. RBCD has been an excellent leader but the concern troll apologists who are trying to convince people that he's a better conservative than Trump are actually just hidden demo-hitler-kkk-crats who want to fracture the conservative vote.

Obviously I will hold my nose and vote for Trump if I have to, but I am in strong disagreement with you there. Trump has been losing me lately. He needs to shut the fuck up and go away.

I don't like any Republican all that much right now, but if I had to choose, DeSantis probably looks the best to me.

Look. Here's the thing. Whether you think Trump got railroaded or not, the Democrats game of convincing most of the country that Trump is a conman and drinks hooker piss while his plantation slaves usher jewish children into gas chambers succeeded. That battle is lost. Republicans need to stop fighting yesterday's battle and start fighting today's.

Actually he started losing me with the stolen election bullshit and when he started surrounding himself with real conmen like Sidney Powell and What's His Face.

The election WAS stolen, but not by Dominion. It was stolen by Facebook dumping an ungodly and illegal amount of money into Democrat campaigns (which he is now being charged for), Twitter putting their thumb on the social media narrative, and election officials spontaneously and illegally changing the rules of the election without ever going through state legislatures.

By the way, not only won't it happen, it can't unless Trump moves. If both names on the same ticket come from the same state, that state's electoral votes are disqualified from the election, and obviously that severly hurts GOP.

I think it was stolen due to a combination of things, yes even Dominion played a part. As did the mules, as did social media and changing rules, and ya even that crypto money dump that no one even knew about until recently. And i'm sure things we still dont know, may never.

Not one single 'method' did it.  They are smart enough not to put all their eggs in one basket and spread out the risk and visibility ( at the time anyway ).

I can't say now when it was without looking it up, but I'm sure I recall headlines about him getting fed up with NYC and moving residence to Mar A Lago some years ago. In hind sight, that was pretty stupid politics.

Which brings up another theme that Republicans consistently disappoint me on. Where I live, the vote tends to go red, but Democrats are pushing hard to turn it blue. I can't tell you how many people I talk to who have this "boo-hoo, we're losing our state, maybe I should move to Texas or Florida where it's still deeply red" attitude. I keep having to explain, that only huts the GOP. We already have Texas and Florida, you need to stay and hold the line!

One person even told me once that they want to move to Kentucky because they want Rand Paul for their senator. You already have Rand Paul for a senator, he doesn't need your vote! The Republican running a close race in your own state DOES!!

Republicans are horrible at politics and political strategery. This is the saddest civil war of all time. One side doesn't even realize there is a war going on, or if they do they just want to run away from it.

Until you realize the true goal, for most of them.

I used to think the same, that Rs are dumb asses and cant see beyond their nose ( we won this one little fight the entire war is over! ), Ds plan for the long game ( decades of programming in schools, incremental movements, etc ).  But as i got older, no, they are all the same with the same goal: Amassing power and wealth, at our expense.

I'm getting there, but still that pushes the dumbassery to Republican voters. For example, with regard to IG's comment, who keeps voting for McConnell??

I suspect it has to do a lot with 'the alternative choice is worse' effect. Not so much 'for' him but 'against' the other.

Since its now a 2 party country, independents or ones that don't tow the party line really have zero chance of cleaning things up. And if you have a powerful incumbent, the party wont even talk to you.
