Speaking of the sky [not] falling ... the National Obama Alarmist Administration (NOAA) has been caught falsifying temperature data ... again.

Remember that cold snap we had a few weeks ago? NOAA doesn't. They also adjusted the Jan 2014 data. Evidently the thermometers failed to produce the upward trend required to confirm their religion of nonstop warming, so they simply cooked the books.

How about that wind storm!

80% of my town went dark from trees falling on power lines ... but we had electricity the whole time. I was hoping to have an opportunity to use my generator but I guess it'll have to wait. We're only about two miles from a substation via main-ish streets with well-trimmed trees. I may have to hire some ninja cats to do the opposite of their normal job.

State of emergency declared from Friday evening until 8:00 local time Sunday (today) morning. Schools pre-emptively closed on Monday.

And yet the snow is already about 50% melted. There wasn't a lot of it, even though we had blizzard conditions on Friday.

We still have some snow.. But miracuralously we kept most of our power lines. Only 700 people in town lost power. Considering where we are, we were either pretty lucky or the preventive pruning has gotten better.

A lawyer set himself on fire to protest pollution and climate change, I guess he showed the climate deniers a thing or two!

Ugh. I can't condone this, he called it "giving a life" but it's not going to raise awareness, it's just a freakshow.

Apparently he was also a well known gay rights activist. And he set himself on fire. Gives new meaning to the word "flamer"

Admittedly, he was about 60 years old. Maybe his health was starting to fail, and he decided to go out with a bang. So to speak.

The sky fell today. Or at least, a lot of water fell from the sky. Because, y'know, climate and stuff.

The gutters on both sides of my house are clogged. Originally I thought something was wrong and water was sneaking behind them and I'd have a lot of repair to do, but upon careful observation today I determined that they were just overflowing.

So I need to find a way to unclog the downspouts without (a) using a ladder (which I won't do), or (b) paying someone (which I won't do).

I might try running a fish tape up the spout from the bottom.

Update:

My fish tape was too stiff to get through the bends in the downspouts. But I found some success in another method.

I stuffed the nozzle of my leaf blower into the end of a downspout and ran it at full speed for about half a minute. On the longer downspout in front of the house, I wasn't able to get a good seal on it, and most of the air blew back. On the downspout behind the house, I got a glorious blast of water and schmutz coming out of the gutter, and when I stopped the blower, the entire gutter flushed out at high speed. It was ... wonderful.

So I guess the next step is to find some sort of elastic tubing to build an adapter that can seal the end of the blower to the end of the downspout.

Just toss M-80s up on the roof until one of them falls into the gutter drain.

That sounds like a waste of a perfectly good M-80. (The proper use is to conduct demonstrations to show to people who claim that an M-80 is a partial stick of dynamite.)

For those of you who were wondering why Aretha Franklin is dead, here's your answer:

Climate scientist Stevie Wonder has concluded that she was killed by global warming.

(Yeah, it's ludicrous, but Stevie Wonder isn't any less credible than most of the "climate scientists" who push the AGW myth.)

Wait, maybe that was a tad of an overreaction. <Forehead smack>

Climate become warmer, glaciers are melting, sea levels will rise, causing the sea-beach wetland, mangroves and coral reefs and other ecological group of loss, coastal erosion of the terrible consequences of global warming, seawater intrusion in coastal underground fresh water layer, coastal land salinization, etc, resulting in natural ecological environment imbalances, the coastal, estuary,  WS-C3560X-24T-S  bay to the coastal zone environment bring great disaster.

2. Increase of water area.Evaporation is also increasing, with longer rainy seasons and more frequent flooding. The greater the chance of flooding, the greater the extent and severity of the storm's impact, and the shorter the reservoir's dam life.

Warmer temperatures could melt the Antarctic peninsula and the arctic ocean.Polar bears and walruses will go extinct.

Many islands will disappear.

Fascinating. I never knew there was a connection between climate alarmism and the Cisco 3560 switch. That particular model is end-of-sale, though.
