I think you have to spend a couple of megabucks in Google and Facebook advertisement for that.

A stampede would have posted in more than one room. Come on [2;5~Princeaeneas, make yourself at home!

If I convince some horses to press some keys with their noses on my keyboard, will that count as an stampeede?

Only if they were seahorses.

One of mine recently got all loving and brutal on me. She flipped me over a bale of hay and kissed me all over.

Lol guy, you are great.

This reminds me of a time when I wanted to ask some girl out. She had a mare and I asked the gal to introduce her to me. The mare ended up kissing me all over the face. The girl looked quite shocked and terrified at the sight of such spectacle.

Were you kissing the mare back?

I bit her mane. In horse language it is more or less the same.

Subject: Nice software system

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Just wanted to say you have a very nice software system here. A BBS from the 80s still being developed in the 21st century with a web client is pretty cool.

I'm thinking of forking the codebase myself. I'm looking to create some kind of distributed discussion platform but without the e-mail and groupware bits. I just don't want to work with PHP or something like the other popular distributed platforms.

Welcome PaX, and thank you for the compliments. If you want to build something else out of the Citadel system, that is totally possible and not too hard to do. I would suggest that you simply build a web front end that looks the way you like it (maybe using the nascent webcit-ng code as a framework) and then you could continue using Citadel Server as-is for the back end. That way you would continue to take advantage of every new version, and when new features become available (such as the fediverse stuff we have planned for the future) you'd be able to decide whether to adopt each new feature in your web front end.

In the mean time, welcome to Uncensored! Please wander around our rooms and join the conversations.
