@IG Please to do the needful and report back on the root cause ofthedowntime at the earlist
Root cause is Facebook, of course. All bad things in the universe are
directly attributed to Facebook.
I thought all bad things in the universe are directly attributed to Microsoft.
Maybe M$ will become worthy of 24/7 rage again someday, particularly if they claw The Cloud away from Amazon in the future. But right now we all need to focus on the objective truth, and that is: the world would absolutely be a much much much better place if someone beat Mark Zuckerberg in the face with a baseball bat over and over again until Facebook ceases to exist.
Disclaimer: as always, anyone who disagrees with me is LITERALLY Hitler.
What about disney?
Yes, indeed it's not an IT/computer-related company... for now! Let's consider how many organizations it has already swallowed during the last 15 years, not to mention the latest one this summer (fox). What could prevent them from bursting into new different markets such as PC one in general, even if "just" gaming for example?
I'm not sure whether it has always -secretly- had an expansionist/imperialist policy since its origins, or just since late 20th century when founder was long dead and it had new CEOs...
Actually, in general since the 2000s I have been seeing a world-wide f***ing predatory tendency from big companies. Google, Microsoft, Oracle, (let's not mention Disney again), Verizon, Facebook, perhaps even P&G and Coca Cola?
Ah look, Avast absorbed AVG 2 years ago. I didn't know.
Does someone have a theory?
Also, correct me if wrong in anything; sometimes I also get kind of paranoid...
Walt would be disgusted to see what a Hitler-equivalent den of douchebaggery the company that bears his name has turned into.
Large businesses become too unwieldy to innovate, so they gobble up other businesses. They are, by their nature, predatory.
It doesn't help that laws exist that make it unlikely for them to ever die should they make mistakes. And they do. Because often they're havens for incompetence, since competent people become a threat to management.
Most jobs are held by people in small to medium sized companies. Yet, the US government seems hell bent on making the laws less favorable to this sector.
Hello. I'm new here and have a lot to learn about the site. I was, however, a regular user of various Sacramento Citadels long ago... in the 1980s. Consequently, I'm really enjoying the place. So much nostalgia! Kudos to whoever is running it.
The rooms I've looked in so far don't seem to have many users. I may see if I can draw a few others in!
Hello All....you have Black Guardian, Lord of Darkness...back from beyond the sea...will have to look for the Realm...
Hello De...tks for spreading the word...
Howdy DE I made it. I will explore the site through the nite!! Thanks for the invite............
Greetings from West Sacramento, CA. Decomposed sent me. I was also a member of many of the the old Sacramento Citadels. I'm going to go poke around and see what I can find. Star Trek? SF? Radio Shack? Ham Radio? Who knows.
Nice to see you here. I'm finding more similarities than differences between this and the forum I remembered. Yup, this is Citadel all right...
It's Citadel. Almost anything might be here... but in Hidden rooms you'll never see. It's not hard to create your own rooms, though.
One thing I'm NOT finding here are many people. I don't know why the site doesn't get more use. It seems to have been around for years.
