I spoke with my sister's friend, after he was flooded out of his condo it was 84 days from the time the place flooded until he moved back in. So it took about three months.
Yeah, for me, it turned into 6 months.
The board won't give me any money to finish what the restoration team did wrongly, insisting that I have to go through the restoration company.
The same one that, I'm pretty sure, created a fire hazard in my utility room.
The same one that took six months, the last one of which they only installed (wrongly) the new appliances and toilets. The same company who's idea of 'clean enough for brand new' is to leave grime and bucket stains on my brand new floor.
So, yeah. It's been awesome, dealing with our association. I think I need to run for the board again. *sigh*
I know from experience that in a home you are responsible for any part of the water supply after the *street* shut off valve. I thought it was from the meter, but no it is not, it is from the street valve. If the pipe breaks under your lawn, you have to pay for it.
With my sister's friend the condo association was responsible for the piping from the street to all the condos and the tenant was responsible after the shut off valve to the condo. That was fortunate for them. The condo paid for repairs to the unit, the tenant's insurance had to pay for damage to furniture, appliances, clothing, etc.
What makes my situation unique is that the association hired these buffoons to supposedly renovate my home after it took water damage from one of the association's pipes.
So, in my case, the fact that it came from my condominium only further enforced the idea that the association was at fault.
Earlier this morning was trash pickup with the Girl Scouts. [ http://tinyurl.com/troop2920trash ]
Something like that. For those who are devout followers of the false religion of global warming, Earth Day is the holiest day of the year. I don't believe in AGW because there is *zero* science backing it up, but unlike the "green" people, I care about the environment. Reduce solid waste. Reuse and recycle.
Minimize the use of finite natural resources. And of course, don't f***ing litter! We gathered what must have been hundreds of pounds of litter. I don't think I could even get myself to litter if I tried. It baffles me that people can be that careless.
There were two things that made this a far left extremist event. The organizers said it was bi-partition, that is leftist bullshit. It was mostly anti-Trump and the usual hate coming from the leftists.
Any "march" is leftist by nature.
IG, it is nice to see your group doing trash pickup! We, as a community, do that every week in the towns we live in. Great to see that others are as well!
Sometimes, I feel like I live in a time zone one hour east of New York, somewhere in the Atlantic ocean.

That would be Atlantic Standard Time (AST) which is where most of the Caribbean islands are.
But they don't observe daylight savings time, so in the summer, you kind of lose.
