Just a note...the hard drive in my server decided to start crapping the bed
less than 12 hours after I left home for a one week business trip.
As a result, Dog Pound II is down until Friday, at the earliest.
Thank you.

Thank you.
It's Saturday evening. Still no Dogpound2.
What is going on with that?
It puts us (Cascade) off-net. Not good.

I'm happy to report that, after over a week (most of which I was out of town
and unable to do anything to remedy the situation), Dog Pound II is finally
back online (along with the rest of my server.

Unfortunately, I had other commitments to which I needed to attend, last night.
I spent the entirety of today recovering the server, and then another hour+ recovering the BBS.

It's working now - thank you!
Actually, it was still a little borked. I did something stupid in my BIND config which was causing the DNS server to sometimes reply with my internal IP instead of my external.

Hate to tell you this, freaky, but as of right now it is doing it again.

Should be better, now...I know what happened (PEBKAC) and I've remedied it.

I also like to call PEBKAC errors 'Operator Headspace Error'.
Similar to this, I came up with PEBRALE - Problem Exists Between Right And Left Ear

Back in the heyday of NetK2NE I had a block on the employee eval. form to
check off.
It said: Employee suffers from HUHAS.
HUHAS - Head Up His Ass Syndrome
