The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that Scrappy Doo and George Clooney are twins separated at birth.
Evidently there is an entire hotel staff passing around a copy of our reservation and having a laugh. I'd forgotten that when we made the reservation I saw a box labeled "special requests" -- and typed in it "Please ensure that the pool is filled with jello instead of water."
Guests like us are what make the job fun, they told us. I'm glad we were able to generate a few smiles.

Murray dresses in red. Slash has a wig and a hat. I have a red wig and a
red hat. Murray was born in Australia, Slash was born in England, I was born
in the USA. However, unlike Bruce Springsteen, I have never performed "Born
in the USA," and of course I have to make the obligatory point that Obama
was NOT born in the USA.

By the way, you've gotta get the right wig the first time. At most costume shops they are typically not returnable. If you get a really good shop they will sometimes do you a favor and "damage it out" but they can't sell it again.
So when a family member offers to get your costume parts for you and you say "You know what Slash looks like, right?" make sure they actually do, otherwise you end up with a Bozo the Clown wig and red star-shaped glasses.
