So I worked a full week for a change. Week before that? My
condition was deteriorating and I felt like utter shite. Why? I
went to Texas MedClinic and they gave me two industrial-strength
cough medicines. I wasn't coughing and that was bad since it
allowed all that cruft to just build up in my lungs, making the pain
I know somebody who is having the opposite problem
His lungs are damaged to the point he will tear them and bleed to death if he coughs. He nearly did already. They are giving him industrial quantities of anti-cough meds.
I hope you get better.
Went back to the ortho place today, 'followup and schedule for pin implantation'
I didnt notice it last times since i was in/out so fast and was in a surgery room... but i was sitting in the waiting room looking around, "hmm this sort of looks like a theme" .. went back to an exam room, and past the nurse station.. The owner has decked the place out in a dark Gothic theme. Floors, walls, wall hangings.. even the window frames and counter tops.
Rather cool actually. l like it.
Mentioned it to the doctor, "i missed this last time, but i really like the theme" He looked up for a second, "oh, ya..." rolled his eyes. Lol.
And as i walked in from the waiting room i heard " is yours spinning" Seems just as i walked in the building their network went down. Took out the computers, xray, all of it. I commented " i bet your network went out, i saw your closet door open" "hey, you a computer guy? Do you want to help" Ya, no, cant imagine the trouble we would all be in. A state government IT person, messing with private HIPPA related equipment but not cleared for it.
since I ran out of the prescribed stuffs. I still cough those beige
blobs out of my lungs several times a day, but it's slowly becoming
Beige blobs? You're not a smoker are you?
87 today. went out for 10 minutes to do a couple of things ( like feed the feral cats ). now i have a migraine.
I ever mention i hate summer?
Falls under politics too, but this will kill people, according to DEI rules. Disgusting ***holes.
"The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is looking to push equity requirements on hospitals providing kidney transplants, according to a recent proposal.
The proposal, announced on May 8, will help President Joe Biden’s administration’s plan to address “racial bias” when it comes to waiting times and “profiteering and inequity” by transplant hospitals, Secretary Xavier Becerra said in the press release. HHS’ proposal would incentivize hospitals to prioritize low-income patients via a point system and create “health equity” plans to address patient gaps."
sort of an annoyance, might have mentioned it before. But its really annoying when you rip out a toe nail, mis-calculate and bleed on the carpet. ( yes for me, that is a regular event. "foot maintenance" so to speak. cheaper than going to the doctor every year or 2 and having them do it )

I like to keep my toenails attached as a general rule, and they almost never bleed. I think you might be doing something wrong.
No, they have to be removed periodically. Id rather not waste $ and time at a doctors office. They cant do anything i cant do on my own.

Yay weather is changing. Huge storm heading this way for later today. So i get an early migraine as a gift.
I can predict them better than the weather dude :)
That was fun.
its 75 degrees +95% humility. And as i have said more than once i do poorly in heat. So, been walking dogs in stupid early AM ( like 5am ) since its in the 90s in the afternoon. This morning about 45mins in, could feel my heart beat in my face, sort of like when weather changes and a migraine is coming..... then i got really hot.. and light headed. Had to sit down on the ground for a bit. Still dont feel "right" even after getting home in the AC and a shower.
I guess i wont die.
And some 11 hours later. still dont feel well and not quite 'with it'.
Hope this passes soon. This is uncool.
The one disadvantage of having an unusually high tolerance to pain, is you can hurt yourself and not even know it. Out with one of the dogs last evening, look down, blood on the sidewalk. Seems i tore a hole in my hand at some point. Pocket ( keys inside ) had blood too, so it was before i left the house.
Didn't die, pants washed out, oh well.

Are you a leper?
Depends on which definition you want to use.
The one that implies being a social outcast, yes, ill fully agree with that one.. :)
The one related to a bacterial infection, no. I simply don't process nerve impulses the same as most humans. I cant smell, don't feel low level pain and high pain is subdued. Low ( or none ) emotions. Oh, and cant deal with heat :) ( but i can the cold more than anyone i know personally ) But no weakness, skin sores, lung issues, or other symptoms that are typical with bacterial leprosy.

"your spleen is bad, if you leave the hospital to go to your home state to have surgery you will die" "you have to have it done here, now"
"ok ok i guess"
doctor proceeds to remove his liver and call it the spleen. Dies on the table.
WTF
It wasn't the patients fault. He was from Alabama or something, was just visiting. I am sure the doctor was a DEI hire.

Lol, I know how it goes.
I was once using a heavy blade to tear up some vines and slashed my hand. I made a makeshift bandage and kept working because the slash didn t hurt so I thought it wasn't so bad. WHen I returned home and removed it I suffered a preassure downpike and nearly passed out.
