Very hot Wabe, but there's no way in hell I'm going to fit into that.

So Ig and I were discussing our next business venture.

And we need your help, you ladies of sewing.

We need someone to create a prototype for us, of a stuffed,
plush klu klux klansman. Any takers?

I finally started those booties in Berrocco Suede.  It's an interesting yarn.  There is absolutely no elasticity to the strand itself, and only a little bit of "give" to the knit fabric.  But wow, it looks gorgeous when it's knitted up!  I wish it felt as soft as it looked.  It's a good choice for booties, since it seems pretty durable, and it would make a really nice bag, but probably not so great for a sweater.

Girty - Go for it!  I planned on making yorick at one point, but when I tried felting the test swatch it wouldn't felt.  Apparently some white yarns won't felt because of the bleaching process.  So I gave up on the idea instead of just asking the Nice Yarn Lady for a recommendation.

Thanks for the tip! I forgot about that with white wool being hard to felt. I will consult the yarn nazis for advice.

YOU MUST post pictures of those booties when you're done. I'm looking forward to seeing it completed!

According to http://www.straw.com/cpy/patterns/bags/bag-mini-felt.html the Iceland Solid felts up, and this is made from the same fiber!

*giggles maniacally*

Incidently, I'm making a Irish Hiking Scarf for my dad for xmas with a matching hat. (I have a complementary pattern I can adjust with these patterns)

After that, Probably fleeb's hat.

Then... maybe Yorick

Make your own pattern row counter.  What a clever idea!

I'm going to make several of those for Xmas! What an outstanding idea!!! I've made beaded row markers for friends for gifts, but that is THE SHIT!!! What a simplebut perfect idea!

I guess for larger needles you'd use larger jump rings. Man, that is so cool. I think I have the materials to make that for a project I'm working on right now.

THANK YOU WABE!!!

You're welcome :)

I need to make a bunch of those for myself.  I've got 4 WIP's and I'm not very good at counting rows if it's not stockinette.
