I didn't look at the pattern closely, but it should just mean taking off however many stitches to get the right size. If the pattern for the ripple repeats every 8, you'd want to take off sets of 8, the rest is stockingette and should
be easy enough to adjust.

I think I'm going to venture to my local yarn store for this. It's useless for needles, but they have GREAT yarn.

I got some mohairish stuff for a neck tube I want to make for myself. Got home and realized I DO NOT have a set of #7 24" needles. bummer.

scrounged around and found a shitty pair of #7s for my gauge swatch but the whole experience has been anticlimatic.

New set of needles ordered off ebay... hope they come soon. I'll head to the knitting store for that fleebyarn this weekend. (hope the yarn harpy is off this weekend...)

Girty - Sure, sorry: http://tinyurl.com/oemnc

Also - that shawl kicks ass!

Wabe, love that sweater!   But you realize that now he'll have to get the beard to match...  ;-)

I have been, incidentally, very good about not peeking. Despite the extreme temptation.

You can peek at the yarn since I dont' think I'm going to use it.

You can't peek at the pattern, especially since I didn't post it and you don't know where it's posted. *grin*

But I know you won't peek anyway.

I like surprises. It would work against me to peek.

well, girthta, having looked at the sweater, I can only say... are you sure that fleeb would really look good in something with that many strategically-placed holes?

This is where things get fun.

The neckline's a little daring...

Well, I think the real beauty of it is in the COLOR.

But, I also like that thing with the pom poms. Strategic indeed!

I've never seen i-cord applied in such a way, either

yea, but you have to admit it's an elegant sort of bondage.

(I hope that doesn't hurt his package... I guess I could get Melvin to measure that for me)

Girty, this is the scarf I was telling you about:  http://www.elizabethklett.com/backyardleaves.html

If I ever get around to making a scarf for myself, this is going to be the one.

Ig, can we get like a barrier or something so all this girlishness doesn't
leak out?

I could try building a fence... but this sort of thing is dangerous. It finds the tiniest escapes and runs amok.

I'm not sure the barrier method's going to be very effective here...
