Subject: The New Rust-Written NVIDIA "NOVA" Driver Submitted Ahead Of Linux 6.15

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

For quite a while Red Hat engineers have been developing the open-source, Rust-written NOVA driver to in effect serve as the successor to the reverse-engineered Nouveau driver that isn't too actively developed in more recent times. But unlike Nouveau's extensive range of NVIDIA GPU support, the NOVA driver is intentionally limited to the RTX 20 "Turing" GPUs and newer where there is the NVIDIA GPU System Processor (GSP) with the firmware support to leverage for an easier driver-writing experience.

Subject: Mozilla’s response to proposed remedies in U.S. v. Google

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Last week the Department of Justice and some state attorneys general filed revised proposed remedies in the U.S. v. Google LLC search case. If the proposed remedies barring all search payments to browser developers are adopted by the court, these misguided plans would be a direct hit to small and independent browsers—the very forces that keep the web open, innovative and free.

Subject: 429 Too Many Requests Error: What is it and how to fix it

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

This blog post will explain everything about the 429 Too Many Requests Error. From how it can occur, the reason for that, and the possible fixes. The “429 too many requests” is an HTTP response. It comes from the server when too many consecutive requests are sent to the server quickly. The server tells you “to stop sending requests” for a while and try again later. In this case, the client exceeded the rate limit set on a server level.
