keto, i'll splain a few basics.
- your body can metabolize (burn) Glucose and Ketones.
- there is a bias toward burning Glucose. your pancreas creates Insulin to metabolize glucose
- the western diet is PACKED with carbohydrates (carbs). carbs translate to glucose which stimulates insulin
+ see the cycle? eat carbs, raise insulin levels, get energy boost and feel good. munchy all day on carbs!
+ problem, insulin derives its name from INSULATION. while your insulin is elevated it is IMPOSSIBLE to burn fat and loose weight
- work out all you want, if your insulin / glucose spends all day elevated, you will only gain weight and never loose
- you loose weight when your glucose and insulin levels are low for long periods (6 or more hours) and your body is use to burning ketones
- keto is simple. count carbs. when you do eat carbs, eat them in a 5 hour window from when you wake up to your mid day meal. try to keep carbs to less than 50 grams
- zero carbs after your mid day meal. and definitely zero carbs after sundown to sunrise.
- hungry during your daily carb fast? eat- chicken, beef, bacon, fish in any quantity you like, just do zero carbs during your carb fast, do not elevate your glucose in this period. do not eat after sundown
- get your body use to making and burning ketones. there are 3 phases.
1- get your body creating and burning ketones. (zero carbs per day, for 3-4 weeks but lots of healthy fats and even mct oils)
2- change your diet for permanent ketosis, limit carbs to the morning, hold a threshold of 50g carbs per day, learn to pick lots of zero carb foods, change your pantry
3- add some cardio exercise in the evening to keep your body making and burning ketones during the daily carb fast
people get into ketosis at step 1 but then backslide and wind up putting pounds back on by letting their insulin remain high for too many hours in a day and they fail to change their diets and fail to limit their carbs.
after man-o-pause, age 43ish. your metabolism changes. you must get into keto, otherwise youre gonna wipe out your pancreas and die a horrible fat inflamed clogged arteries death.
recap.
control daily insulin levels (glucose). count carbs not calories. change foods to low/no carbs (lots of healthy fats and oils), daily evening cardio (10-20 mins)
if you are 100 lbs overweight, this recipe wlll drop all 100 in 4-6 months. it isn't hard. controlling daily insulin levels is key
once you loose the 100 lbs, dont pig out on carbs all day. keep carbs locked into a 5 or 6 hour period each day. 4 hours is best
been there, done that.

Cant say how serious he is, as hes full of hot air on a regular basis, but Trump is considering reclassifying pot.. Tho at this point, many states have already done it, and others just don't bother with enforcing anymore, so does it really make a difference in the bigger picture?

Is it really a win? 99% of the people i know don't really care. It wont be a blip on their radar. the other 1%, don't care either, as being illegal isn't relevant to them, they do it anyway. I think i know of one person that it might effect. "ooh its legal now, ill go buy some" But knowing them, they will lose interest soon after.
Might even have the reverse effect "He is opening the drug flood gates everyone is going to OD and die!!" ( not really true, but remember a good 2 generations had it pounded into their heads "its the gateway drug" in primary schools.
