Twirking has to stop.  The word sounds terrible, like a woodshop term.  I know I am not the only one who thinks twirking isn't attractive.

I remember seeing Latina women twirking in Miami in the year 2000.  It has only gotten worse.

The word "booty" bothers me as well, the word booty sounds horrible.

It is "twerking" - but I agree with you.

This makes me think of something for rants.

The same way Southerners use "Bless your heart" to mean "Go fuck
yourself", I use "k" to mean "What you just said is so incredibly
stupid I want to kill myself."

Oooooh, I want to start a new tradition then.

Here in the north, I want to start using the phrase "Go fuck yourself" to mean "Bless your heart".

It'll go over great with the old ladies!

I use "k" to mean "What you just said is so incredibly stupid I want to kill myself."

I usually see "k" when I make a statement, or let someone know something.

Me: "I will be there a little late,I picked up the items you requested."
Them: "k"

I don't know what response I expect but "k" sounds stupid.

"okay" "ok", "thanks, see you soon.", "okay thanks."

"k" sounds like you are blowing somebody off.

The one that bothers me is "KK"

What is that supposed to accomplish? It's not "OK" and you didn't even save a keystroke.

😂😂😂

I love it! The next time some little old lady from the south does something really sweet for me, I'm going to go, "Go fuck yourself!"

I am getting very sick of seeing the word "partner" used.  I can never figure out if it means "spouse" or boy/girl friend. The fucking lefties have enforced this crap.

I didn't want to say that publically, especially where I live. It confuses me also. Ironically, my blindness makes it even more confusing.

It is part of the left wing "newspeak", use as few words as possible, so everyone is confused.

newspeak noo͞′spēk″, nyoo͞′-

n.Deliberately ambiguous and contradictory language used to mislead and manipulate the public.
n.A mode of talk by politicians and officials using ambiguous words to deceive the listener.

If anyone can get away with it, you should be able to ask,

"So, do you fuck them professionally, personally, or both?"

The idea behind newspeak, as Orwell described it, was that certain kinds of thought would be eliminated simply because there were no words to describe wrongthink.

Ya, and we are well on that path :(

Even tho its accelerating, i dont think *we* see the end result, but our children may.  Our grandchildren, will for sure.

Sigh.  My workplace only just recently picked up a version with this change, so I only noticed it today when I created a new repo.

The bottom line is that git is not using workaround words to avoid mentioning there is such a thing as a Master branch.
