Oh, actually, I rather like the sound of that...

Hmmm... it's a day past "Thursday" and still no connectivity to Dogpound2.

What's up with that, Freakdog?

It's quite more than a day past Thursday. Actually it's Thursday now, but a different Thursday.

I have it as Friday.  Did your Thursday go bad?  I have had that happen on occasion.  Wait, I must hold on just a bit to post...

-off topic-

Telnet connection keeps getting lost. This is not a complaint but a fun fact. Dialup was better about connections in at least two ways, resilience being one; more of the copper wire on the outside plant and and dedicated sideband and translated FDM channels inside.
Greetings from the ghost of the Cat Hair Zone BBS on Fredcit in the 1980s. A Hallowed XT-cased Overclocked to 18MHz 286 with thermal-epoxied-on finned heatsink on the 80286 and an aluminum plate on the memory chips, the case being cooled to 40 deg F by Peltier and a blower, like a little fridge. Well that eventually burned up and is long gone. Too much use of the Twit User command and Twirly Cursor option. Epitaph: Condensate removal measures are fine, if you have a drain.
Snuggles ain't here, man, and she's too lazy to do anything for a Klondike bar, but you can look for that k-bar on 69.36.164.11
Shouts to Citadel Ghosts: Xanthippe's and negativland. Like shouts to the vacuum of space, out along the wireless.
So I guess there is no 'old but TCP/IP' version that will run on DOS.3.11/95/98. The 'spare' computers here are a bit small for any modern linux dist. There is a 486 and some military V2/LCs (386's). Or do I merely pine for the ancient fijords?
Thanks, and maybe I have a renewed interest in Citadel now. my ISP provides several message boards but they don't do it for me like Citadel, and they are like a maze of twisty turny passages, all alike, do they not in any way support telnet or text terminals.

As some of you know, I get these songs stuck in my head. Sometimes, the songs come with video. Not necessarily video that actually existed, but ... something.

Today's stuck-in-my-head song/video is that old tune 'Everyday People'. In particular, the bit where they sing, "Different strokes for different folks," where during that part of the song, I imagine a video where you see people in different positions stuck in different kinds of wheelchairs.

I'm going to hell.

I regularly get Beatles tunes stuck in my head. I don't mind them, thankfully.
Some of the other stuff that I get in my head, though, aren't as good.

Made me laugh! You should turn that into a sticker and sneak that into a stroke unit at your local hospital. It would surely brighten the day of some nurses and doctors.

Heh, I expect they have a dark sense of humor, but I doubt they can comfortably express that humor in a hospital.
