It's still vaporware, true. But it's already superior to an iPhone.

Another Android phone with some accessories. Motorola does the same old crap.

My prediction is either it flops completely or that Andy's doing this with a buyer already in mind.

Maybe the buyer will be Apple so they can finally have a usable smartphone :)

Or traditional news media sites.  I get a lot of redirects like that on my mobile devices when I don't use their apps and just go to the website instead.

Want a cheap discoed smartwatch?

Verizon's discontinued Wear24 smartwatch is down to just $49.99 ($300 off)

Is the smartwatch fad finally starting to decline?  It seemed silly from the very beginning, but I've always enjoyed not having to wear a watch because the time is displayed on my phone.

If a watch could replace a phone completely, that would be fun, but the screen is too small and there wouldn't be enough battery life for smartphone use.

I actually like wearing a watch.

If I wore a watch, it'd have to be the size of those things Electra Woman and Dyna girl wore. And it should be steam powered.

T-Mobile Is Sending a Mass Text Warning of ‘Industry-Wide’ Phone Hijacking Scam

It certainly is taking a while.  I just got my text this morning.

I think the reason they're spreading it out is because they are offering a way to lock the number and they can't handle the entire customer base calling in at once to activate it.

This one seems legit scary though.  Mobile phones have become the de facto second authentication factor for everyone.

If the press releases are to be believed, the perpetually on-again off-again merger of T-Mobile and Sprint is ... on again.

When I was in a T-Mobile store this past weekend, finally replacing my five year old phone, the dude in the store insisted that it was T-Mobile taking over Sprint. I would be interested in learning whether Sprint employees feel the same way.

According to the press release, the combined company will be called T-Mobile.
I certainly hope T-Mobile continues to run the show, because their network has improved so much -- a decade ago it was a bad joke; today it's the best value in the industry. They've similarly innovated in the way they sell their service. I'm a happy customer. Sprint, on the other hand, just seems to screw up everything they touch.

I don't know what 5G is but my phone doesn't support it so I don't care (yet?).
All I know is that Sprint's network is still using CDMA in an era whene veryone else went to GSM years ago.

It was a long time ago, but my experience with T-Mobile wasn't the greatest.
The network was okay, sorta, but they had a habit of passing off problems that a customer had to Someone Else, eventually casting your issue off into oblivion, never to get resolved.

I blame Hedy Lamarr, it is clearly her fault.
