Yes. it does. But might be good for them. Open their horizons a bit.

Just dont jump out of a moving car because the world is collapsing a mile down the road and you forget its just the acid. Or if you do bail out, be sure to remember your martial-art training and tuck-n-roll. ( thankfully that was still in muscle memory so no damage )

I tell people all the time... just don't drop the LSD... it changes the entire way you view existentialism.

Not all people who get this are acidheads... but I think all acidheads get this.

Flying while medicated wasn't fun for me. And that was just heavy painkillers.
I can't imagine what the flight would have been like if I still had ketamine in my system...

The distortions in body sensation and auditory perception caused by narcotics and hallucinogens are frequently triggers for bad experiences - and unusual sensory experiences - elevation changes, pressurized cabins, and high stress environments - can both have a pretty extreme affect on this experience.

The best flights I've had have been on small regional aircraft. The Beech 1900 is a beautiful airplane - roughly 10 rows with 1 seat on each side. Continentl used to operate them on PIT <-> CLE. Now they use a dang Q400 which is just a noise box hanging in the sky.

Worst ride? SF80. PIT to YYZ.
My wife is going to try out the 787 Dreamliner for me on JFK -> CDG in May.
I haven't been flying much the last several years but I'd like to get back into it. TSA doesn't bother me much. I find the whole security theater endlessly amusing. Just don't tell them that.

I agree Greg, regionals are fun. Give me a Bombardier or Embraer instead of a megatube any day. I especially like the ERJ145 because you have a chance of being in a single-seat.

Just above regionals, though, I have to admit that my favorite airplane of all time is the 717. That thing is so overpowered it's comical, and that makes it such a fun ride. The signature scream of those BR700 engines and the short takeoff is so much fun.

Because cars don't emit nearly as much hydrocarbons.

Washington state has banned ICE cars by 2030, as no more new registrations allowed at that point ( at least for private vehicles, unsure about fleet trucks and such. i dont live there, i didnt look into it that close. And if I did, id move. ).

Their gun laws of late have also been way out of line.

I don't mind the idea of moving to electric cars, but as I've mentioned elsewhere, I am concerned that they will not have the "filling time to driving range" ratio comparable to liquid fuel by the time the mandates kick in. And of course the government will mess it all up like they do with everything.

I dont care if people buy them, or ICEs, or a bike. Its their $, their choice. Its the government forcing me to do something that i have the problem with.

And i still would not want to go 100% electric.  Hybrid so i can recharge it.   But then again, if government takes all the gas away..

I think the upcoming generations are being programmed for it, for several now.  Each one progressively more.  You see it a lot in the millennials ( not all, just in general as i think they were perhaps the first true product of the "system" not just a few radical teachers ) The current generations 'out in the world' before them were not, and wont be happy.  Of course in 20 - 30 years most of us wont be here to argue about it anymore.

And they will have won.   And once they do, it will be too late to easily go back when they finally realize it was a huge mistake.

And ya i know i'm responding to my own post..  just to add to it since we cant edit yet :)

just to show that i wasn't against hybrid, I was going to convert one of my cars to hybrid once.  Just machine out an adapter for the transmission for a huge ass motor, add some batteries and then build a Tesla turbine to run a generator.. They are small and efficient, if you just 'run' them at full speed and not try to vary their speed. Original plan was to adapt a turbine directly, but the spin up/down time makes turbo lag look like a rocket engine.   Of course 'real' turbines are the same, they like to just run and not be messed with.  Ran into some practical issues, like batteries.. But conceptually it worked, made a go cart sort of thing for testing.

Another idea ( not really hybrid, just a idea ) was making small hydraulic motors to replace the wheel bearings, and use the turbine as a pump. Drop the transmission and drive shafts, and install the motor directly to the wheels. Of course this was only worked if your bearings were of that style, something like a 66 mustang, no.  The bearings are about the size of a small motor, perhaps a super fat can of drink.. so it made sense to me anyway. When i was changing one "hey, this looks a bit like a motor, i wonder if....". Besides, they do this in tractors and earth moving equipment often, so it wasn't really out in left field. Some basic testing ( on the same go kart ) worked, but far to inefficient and speed limited.   Back to electric, but still swap out the bearings idea.. but again, while it would have simplified the power train greatly, like the hydraulic idea would too, battery tech got in the way and made it mostly pointless.

Entire idea was to convert existing cars over to something new, not engineer from the ground up.

Brushless motors would have helped too, but this was 35+ years ago so battery tech at the time just was not going to allow it.

Agree with you completely - and I suppose by then, it won't be our problem - and they'll have to figure out their own fucking mess.

We warned them - a LOT. What else can we do. They're going to have to learn the hard way.

This is the shit I was talking about in my vaccine mandate rant. Who's "we"? Look at who's in power today, who's pushing these agendas, and who's voting for these motherfuckers. They're not milennials. Boomers and gen X have been delinquent, they handed the keys and their children to the communists for indoctrination and now they're checking out and blaming the takeover on the indoctrinated children.

Personal experience for a moment: With few exceptions, most people i knew supported the socialist ways while young..  Once they grow up they stopped and realize its a bad thing.   I know very few adults here that support it today.
