Yes, history has been far too kind to him. He is directly responsible for many deaths.

Trump didn't take away state's rights or suspend habeas corpus. Lincoln tried to exterminate Native Americans. Hitler admired Lincoln. I am not sure why you are making this comparison.

Lincoln and Trump both had excellent taste in hats.
Platform is only one of the problems.
Clear-net is a problem in its own
- DNS can easily be revoked
- DDoS is not hard
- ISP/hosting blockages
- Personal persecution via ISP logs.
Mon Jan 18 2021 15:28:24 ESTfrom ParanoidDelusionsI'm pretty convinced Citadel is the antidote to it. We need to make it so that if one of us gets pulled down, 100 spring up to replace it.
Both Trump and Lincoln switched political parties often, Lincoln was not a republican at the end of his term.
Both Trump and Lincoln have a hole in the head.
I am optimistic that with demand, technical challenges will be met and overcome, as will desire among end users to work harder to overcome those obstacles as well.
It seems unlikely and impossibly difficult on this side of it. The more difficult they make it, the more people will accept those difficulties.
The fact that *I* am looking into i2p is the first ripples of that. If they continue, that will turn into a swell, and eventually, a breaking wave.
Citadel may be the stone that sets off the ripples. That is fine. It'll serve its purpose in continuing the struggle for liberty against oppression.
If the Founding Fathers had considered the obstacles before them and the chances of success - they never would have tried.
That will always be the case in struggles such as these.

While i agree, it was a far different world for them. And as oppressive at it was, it was still not 'socialist style oppression'.

Grr i also meant to say that im not suggesting we quit. Just that the last part of my earlier statement this stuff will only go so far unless we actually fix the problem as tech isn't the fix, its a short term bandaid that will be removed at some point if the problem isnt fixed. Not saying we dont try to fix it.
But if we dont fix the problem, none of it is going to matter at some point.

The Chinese had it right on this one. Politicians aren't the problem. They're just people. And when people in general are hateful, selfish, apathetic and lazy, they get the government they deserve. Of course not all Americans are like this now. Just a sufficient proportion of them to tip the balance.
Brazil too. https://foreignpolicy.com/2021/01/14/bolsonaro-brazil-trump-anti-democracy-elections/
I have a friend that lives there who fled from Argentina when the socialists moved in and took over. Now they are there too, manipulating the truth and stealing power. The entire planet is F-ed. Can we get off?
Agreed. The printing press didn't fix the problem for Ben Franklin. It allowed him to spread the ideas that made people demand the fix.

And just think, they are not technically even in power yet.... ( tomorrow, but you get my point )
Soon they will be working on blacklisting the average person. Its already been threatened/promised.

It has been said that freedom of the press is only available to those who own one.
The democrat/media cartel has not locked us out yet. Perhaps the single greatest achievement of President Trump (peace be upon him) was not his policy achievements, which can be reversed by the incoming communist china administration, but that he has exposed the depth of the swamp and the unlimited extent to which its media has been lying to us. Trust of the establishment and its media is now at an all time low. There is an audience of potential new patriots waiting to be educated, and it's up to "alt tech" to do it.
Darth Zuckerberg and his friends have done us a favor by showing us the Internet's weaknesses, its choke points which we now must diversify away from. When compared to the thousands of different forums people congregated on until about a decade ago with the half dozen mega-sites they are on today ... Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are literally concentration camps for Internet users. We must help everyone escape.
On another note, President Trump (PBUH) is having a few small events tomorrow, but I think he's missing an opportunity. He should be doing a mega-rally in Florida at the EXACT same time as President Xi's deputy's inauguration in Washington.
Might be better under web, but here it is anyway..
Brave browser now supports native IPFS . Its an interesting concept but i didnt figure it woudl catch on due to the manual pieces to install, which isn't for everyone. Now there isn't any, lowing the barrier of entry. Much like TorBrowser take the hard work out of that.
So if you commit a crime while using a radio you are going to be committing another crime? Well.... that ought to stop 'em. People will never commit a crime while commiting a crime.
Im actually ok with the idea of banning committing a crime on the airwaves, as long as its not something like thought crime, but real actual crime.. But, the part about 'coded messages', no i draw a line there.
its setting up to grab the frequencies from us too. "that was coded disinformation, off to jail you go"

Something I noticed, everything now has a positive spin on it. When Trump and Bush were in the White House everything was xx% of people *disprove* of something Bush Trump did. Obama, and now Biden, xx% of people approve of something Obama/Biden did/do.
Have I already shared this here?
