To add some political notes to my remarks in the Health & Wellness room:

COVID is an acronym for "Chinese-Originated Virus Invented by Democrats".

The pandemic was deliberately unleashed by the ChiComs and DemComs for the express purpose of destabilizing the United States. With the ChiComs set to take over the White House next year, they have largely succeeded. There is zero doubt that the China Virus gave the DemComs the tools they needed to steal the election. Now that they are in power, they can finish the job.

That's it. The virus is real. It's difficult to argue that the virus does not exist when people everywhere are contracting it. Our objection is not to the assertion that the virus exists, but that it has been used as an excuse for some pretty tyrannical behavior. That much is not up for debate either; the place where we can start to differ is on whether it was deliberate or opportunistic. And that's a discussion for another day (or at least another room).

See... this is one of those posts that deserves a star, or a heart... or a little counter to show... "What IG said!"

But that is a discussion for another room, too. Anyhow... +100...

It is a lot like global climate change. Those of us on the Right don't think the *thing* is a hoax. We think the doctrines and dogmas of the Left on the *subject* are a hoax. We think it is pretty transparent that this is the case.

We get called "science deniers," and then a Democrat President makes the claim that something that is *neither* settled nor irrefutable is BOTH, and he thinks this is how the scientific method works, and the press, and most Democrats go along with him.

And we go, "Wait a second... WE are the ones who are scientifically illiterate and ignorant? I don't think so."

I'm going to play devil's advocate with you on this topic at some point, in depth... but I'll give you my synopsis for right now.

I heard this with Clinton.

I heard this with Obama.

Things have tug-of-warred between the Left and Right between each administration, and we're not being directly ruled by the Chinese yet...

Those on the Right who believe in this will claim, "see how long they have been at it..."

Those in the middle and on the Left will say, "this is more like prediction. If I say EVERY year that a meteor is going to wipe out a major US city, over a long enough time span, there is a significant chance I'll get it right... and if I don't, you're so occupied with THIS year's prediction of gloom you forget LAST year's."

So...
I pointed out to my wife that Facebook used to censor links to my BBS on the argument that it was a Hate site.

But suddenly changed their reason for blocking my site to it being "SPAM", after I tagged Ted Cruz in a couple of posts complaining about it.

I argued that almost certainly meant that someone from Facebook had visited my site, determined it was NOT a Hate site, and went to their legal team, who said, "call it SPAM."

Then I quit Facebook a few days ago... almost completely stopped visiting there unless I absolutely have to, and making very little content contribution.

And LinkedIn just ratted them out.

They're watching us. They don't like the idea that we're off here creating an alternative that they can't control and "fact check."

Facebook is dangerous.

This could be explored further. In the 1980's, many were certain that we were either owned by, or about to be owned by, the Japanese. That obviously didn't happen in the long term. So it could be argued that these scares are not real.

On the other hand, China already owns and controls American interests such as Disney and Joe Biden.

Well, I think China probably got the idea from Japan and watching us losing our minds about it.

"Japan basically owns Yosemite, and the Americans are losing their minds about THAT... but what if we bought their media? They would never know if we hid it carefully enough... and once we had their media, we could buy THEM and they would never even know it."

So, at this point, even if Trump manages to reverse the election results and hold onto the Presidency - the Democrats have set up a situation where the nation he wins is basically ungovernable. The riots and social unrest that will result will all be blamed on him, the Democrats will never accept that the results were legitimate in this case, and he'll be forced to use draconian measures to even attempt to keep society from tipping.

They might WIN the election, but they've really set themselves up where they can't lose. The only ones who lose are us, no matter what happens.

If the domestic terrorists continue rioting, we should treat them like all terrorists and spray them with machine gun fire.

Or at least, give them the opportunity to initiate an actual violent conflict requiring the justified use of military force. That would probably be better. Basically they keep agitating for civil war, we should give them some.

It wouldn't be the first time. Augustus Caesar believed he had taken control of the roman empire, normal elections continued, but they didn't matter anymore because the republic had already become a sham. Under current conditions, President Trump will have been the last legitimate president, regardless of whether he exits office now or in four years.

Victor Hugo Chavez glamorized the little shitheads who conducted the French Revolution, but the truth is that they were a bunch of Antifa/AOC type self-interested millennials who just didn't like law and order. That's why they executed the royal family and anyone associated with them once they took power. The fact that our Antifa/AOC types are already talking about rounding up Trump family and loyalists should give a good clue as to where this is all going.

As someone recently put it: "Why does treason never prosper? Because if it prospers, none dare call it treason."

Well, personally, I'm part of the class that ends up on the guiolltine. That is what concerns me about this - and I think about the French Revolution frequently. I would rather die fighting back.

Good. Let the party fracture, the sooner the better. A takeover by ultra-socialists will give patriots outside of the BushClinton and ClintonBush camps time to retrench and organize.

Subject: A few things I believe

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I support strong safety nets with means testing at both the federal and state levels, but a lot of things have to change to make it viable - culturally, not just in terms of policies.

I would rather know a painful truth than believe in a beautiful lie.

Claims that your adversaries are simultaneously evil geniuses and blithering idiots are common in most propaganda.

You can't get someone to see something when his view of himself as a good person depends on his not seeing it.

I don't need to defend everything Donald Trump says and does, and I never will.

When everything is racist, sexist and -phobic, the average person no longer cares.

I value Western civilization more than my personal wealth.

Most of the people saying "(X) is a human right" would be more than happy to deny someone access to that thing if they found out that person had opinions they didn't like.

I still do my best to keep giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, until and unless they prove I need to treat them otherwise. But I won't give it to anyone who systematically assumes I'm acting and arguing in bad faith, or who seeks to blood libel me with the equivalent of original sin.

We've gone from "but what was she wearing" to "but what were they saying".

Twenty-five years ago, everything was still by telephone, paper, face to face. Now everyone's life and well-being depends on a functional Internet and having access to it. The more Silicon Valley enables Chinese style "social credit", the closer we come to a society where when someone is deemed bad, they have their Internet "privilege" completely revoked. The only jobs those people might be able to get will be low-wage menial labor. And the people screaming the loudest right now about the capitalists who profit off of human misery, will be cheering as the capitalists bring their wildest totalitarian dreams to life. Tucker Carlson might be able to keep his job, but the average person won't. And every day, people are being viciously, openly attacked - economically and physically - for saying things far less controversial than anything I've stated here.

All I know is that like Havel's greengrocer, I can not bring myself to hang the sign in the window. And if every single one of my loved ones decide this makes me literally worse than Hitler, then so the fuck be it.

This post was generally epic - these lines in particular. I'm glad I was here for it. If this is the kind of post you produce on a regular basis, I'd love to have you as a guest on my BBS.
