Regardless of ones opinion on the issue of the Texas legislature, federal agencies should not be involved in a state issue.   This sets a bad precedent for this country.

I was saying states should pass laws against it, not the feds. My apologies for not making that clear.

From what i read, it wasn't due to what they were doing. it was due to where. Protected wetlands. If it was in-town, i don't think it would have been stopped.   Local Indians were involved too.

Now, i cant comment on their true intent, only what was reported.

Ok, ill buy that. It was just how i read it.

But, to the actual act: I wont say i'm for or against it, but if those laws are passed by the states, they need to be really careful about doing so.  There are important reasons the Quorum rules are in place. It was to prevent bad actors from 'detaining' the opposition just long enough so they didn't make it to the statehouse in time, and the other side votes without them, effectively silencing them.

And yes, in this case that is not what is taking place and its totally voluntary, just saying that decisions have consequences if its not well thought out.

So trump wants to have a new census, exclude illegals.

Aside from the cost, i don't have an issue with it. But i hear that its illegal to exclude anyone standing on soil, and they are using that as an excuse to block the thing.. Too lazy to do the research, but I do hope that is not true and typical 'noise'. But if so, it does explain the democrats push to bring the entire planet here, if they have legal precedent of the plan.

If the law is there, I suppose it would be ok to count them, but mandate that we clearly put them in a separate bucket that can not effect anything else, like money allocations ( other than for DHS perhaps ) election districts to help predetermine outcome, in any direction, ( since voting is illegal, but gotta catch them ) etc.

And while i didn't go verify it, i read that he hinted at doing the same to NYC if the wrong guy gets elected...   Yes, he is often full of hot air, but that stuff should not be said, even in jest.

The Republican party was founded opposing the Twin Relics of Barbarism: polygamy and slavery. If you support either one or both of these things you are not a real Republican.

LoL.  Worked out just as most of us thought it would.  Lots of promises, then lots of noise, then a lot of push back, then distractions, then silence. 

And i realize this is 2025, not 1980.. and the world is different, but man i do wish Trump ( and the others, but hes the worst right now ) would just shut the f-up and get back to work.  Lets go back to where the press team does their job in releasing info, and the leaders do a few press meetings in person. Enough with the constant online and TV personal attacks and BS.    

Now, while i agree that 10% of a single company is not end of world, this opens a really bad door.  When i grew up this sort of maneuver would be considered communistic..

wth..   "union of states" does not mean the feds get to come in and take over because they don't like it.  One more encroachment.  Even if it gets shut down the idea that its being discussed at all is wrong.
