You really don't get it do you?  Sorry to disappoint you, but as I have explained before, its not the content i care about, its the fundamental restriction of free speech. Also, these rules are ever ever meant to do what they claim it its for.  its a smoke screen, and narrow people like you fall for it. Every. Single. Time. You need to look outside your little box and see the big picture. Its all about all slow encroachments on our rights. And not exclusive to speech either. Do i need to use the ( tho technically inaccurate ) saying about the frog and the pot? Or is that beyond your understanding too?

And as i have stated before, much like in any other case of speech, even if i disagree with the actual speech, i will still support the right to it.  Or in the case of another right being restricted, in the 2A world for comparison and consistency. I think bump stocks are stupid and have zero desire to have one, but you now what, id still fight for another guy's right to have one.   Also, if i really cared about the content in question on this specific ruling, its brain dead easy to get around.  I'm sure even you could figure it out.

Grow up.

And no, i won't continue the discussion. I'm done.

How did that go, "So this is how liberty dies… with thunderous applause"

While in this case it was the correct decision, each court has their 'coverage', so to speak, you would be all for the lower courts having that power, if they blocked a Biden action.  Admit it, you are a hypocrite.

And has been said before, be careful what you wish for. You may get it, and regret it later. And for the record, i look forward to that day, not specifically for you, but all the freaking hypocrites that have come out of the closet as of late.  Will be a joyous "i told you so" moment.

LoL.

"In a social media post on Tuesday, Trump wrote that “China can now continue to purchase oil from Iran.” That would be a major shift in U.S. policy, which has tried to constrain Iran’s oil trade with the rest of the world, including China. "

So you need ID to check out some smut, but you don't need one to vote.

Only in bizarro world.

Does this mean what I think it means? That the court just ended Obama's fourth term by barring his puppets in the judiciary from blocking everything President Trump does?

In another ruling, they agree that parents ultimately get to decide the content that is taught to their children.  I am OK with that, as long as this ruling is consistent across the board and NOT just the one subject, which often happens in this messed up legal system we have today..

Really, school should be limited to the fundamental basics to survive as a human. Fundamental math, reading, writing, speaking, cooking dinner, putting gas in your car, how to sew..  a tad of non-biased history "this happened". basic biology ( you have bones and nerves ) and science ( we revolve around the sun, there is this thing called gravity, and big fish roam the oceans ), Mechanics of politics "this is how the electoral collage works" But that is about it.  And even tho i hated gym class ( and explained why a while ago ) some of that to build coordination so they dont trip over themselves.  they should be functioning adults when they walk out of primary school.

Beyond basics, like calculus, or how to rebuild a car engine, or how to run a farm, can be done in college or trade school, if a kid wants to learn that stuff. But even there, none of the 'extras' below. Stick to facts and functions.

"extras" such as sexual orientations, political leanings, interpretations of historical events, magic octopus, etc., have NO business in school. That should be taught at home by a child's parents.

Could fall under rants too, but i'm sick and tired of government using taxes as a tool to manipulate behavior.  "Well, we cant ban it, so we will raise taxes so high people have to think twice, and most will stop"  They don't even fear retribution and admit what they are doing now. Its like they are above everything.

( and before a particular someone steps in with the typical uniformed excuse: "you just dont want to lose bla bla bla" no, i don't want to partake in it at all, and i think its dumb. But, its their right, and clearly its legal, so even the government agrees its a right )

We really need a total reboot. I don't see any way to fix what this country has become, at the hands of the government.

Oh, and i guess as of next month, our state now can legally charge tolls on ANY road they want, without any process or debate..  Just one afternoon:  "here is a booth, pay up".   And they are going to start with all the major interstates that pass thru this area later in the year, as we are a central hub for transit.  Then i can see pretty much every road, getting charged to drive, on top of gas tax, license tax, etc.    Like the toll bridge down south between here and KY, they put up cameras, and send you a bill in the mail.

Subject: Zohran Mamdani - Interview

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Well, isn't that nice.  Aside from the thought that he is now the 'face of the DNC', which should terrify everyone.   Interesting that King considered himself a communist.  Not heard that one before. I think it was kept quiet.

"“Do you like capitalism?” Burnett flatly asked the man who is being touted as the new face of the Democratic Party.

“No, I have many critiques of capitalism,” the brash 33-year-old replied, as he quoted iconic civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“And I think ultimately the definition for me of why I call myself a democratic socialist is the words of Dr. King decades ago. He said, ‘Call it democracy or call it democratic socialism,” he said. “There must be a better distribution of wealth for all of God’s children in this country.’”

The Ugandan-born child of wealthy parents ran on a platform that many have described as communistic, promising such things as government-run grocery stores, free rent and child care, 200,000 new units of affordable housing, and taxing productive white people to pay for it all by shifting “the tax burden from overtaxed homeowners in the outer boroughs to more expensive homes in richer and whiter neighborhoods.”

Should be rules against non-native born people holding office, nationwide.  Founders dropped the ball on that one.

( and this is why i was going to take a break from everything.   all it does is piss me off )

And another F-U Trump:  "We have too many non working holidays"  I guess the serfs should not get time off. "Get back to work, peasant scum, make me more money!"

The cake was real..  The elitists will end up finding this out before this is over, and with luck its while Trump and his buddies are still around.  Funny how history repeats itself. Time and time again.  No one seems to learn.

Zoltar McJihad is probably being groomed as the next dark horse presidential candidate, just like his fellow African-born predecessor Obama. We get one of two outcomes from this -- either the nation takes a super-hard left turn after President Trump (PBUH) leaves office, or the demoKKKrats become so ultra-socialist that they lose their palatability to anyone who's not a college commie or an urban pervert.

Quite frankly, the liberal media isn't dying fast enough. MSNBC and NYT and the rest need to be taken off the air using the exact same tools we used to destroy the Iranian nuclear weapons program.

I suspect the hard left turn. Its a predictable cycle.   Right or wrong, when a president on one side pisses everyone off, the next one on the other side gets a free pass into office.  Instead of looking at things as 'who is best for the job' its a 'we dont like that party now' and pretty much ignore the candidate, just 'vote for them'...

And if a person like Zohran gets in, we are f-ed even worse.   Pretty sure HE cant get in, documented to be not native born from what i was reading, but does not mean they wont find one like him.

Plus we all know how much cheat is going on now in politics, i really dont think "we the people" get to decide anymore anyway.

It's more complex than that. As our brother Jim wrote just this morning:

"The Maga right is a big tent that welcomes outsiders. The left vigorously polices purity. The left is forever holiness spiraling to ever greater evil, malice, viciousness, and depravity, and has been doing so since the late eighteenth, early nineteenth, century.

What Maga is doing is politics as one would expect politics to function in a democracy or a republic, if democracy or republicanism was actually working as advertised. You try to build a coalition that is big enough to take power. What the Maga right is doing is politics, politics as theory describes republics and democracies as function. What the left is doing is the opposite of what theory says politics is. And it has been doing the opposite of what politics is supposed to be for more than two centuries, with immense success.

When the holiness spiral runs fast, the state self destructs, so the survivor is the one that holiness spirals the slowest, which was England and America. But inevitably the holiness spiral runs faster and faster."

I guess we will see in ~3 years.

All i ever see is each one in office veers too far for the supporters, so it flips. Like a yoyo. ( do they still have those? Or is that no longer part of childhood? )

Or it could always be back room deals "hey, we will let your guys in next time, if you promise not to narc on the process. and besides, it lets the serfs think they have influence.. lol!"
