I can't imagine they don't understand that packing the court would be mutually assured destruction. Whenever the party in power changes, we would get more supreme court justices to swing the balance of power.

At least one pundit has suggested that there is incontrovertible evidence of the 2020 election steal coming, and this is the distraction.

Roberts did verify it was authentic.   So, no hoax.

Roberts is a hoax.

You give Democrats too much credit. When have you ever known them to look ahead past the tips of their own noses?

Perhaps vacuous twats like AOC aren't playing the long game, but the hard core communists most certainly are. It's taken them decades to do the damage they've done. Their slow march through the institutions was a brilliant strategy -- they're close to winning the Cold War decades after the fall of the Soviet Union.

Also, it stands to reason that all female pro-abortion leftists should face mandatory sterilization using full sticks of dynamite.

Oh, they do, as a 'unit'.  Look at what they are doing to the schools, knowing it wilt take generations to convert the upcoming children..

I would argue the Republicans cant see past the current fiasco and how to compromise to make it go away. just to do it again next time.. and lose more ground  ( most often the chaos is caused by democrats, as a distraction to the long term goals, but helping them move it along )

Sure there are exceptions on both sides ( like AOC, shes a freaking moron .. ) but if you look at the parties as a whole, i think its true.

And my opinion about abortion remains the same: the life of a baby is

worth far more than the life of a democrat.

I just assume babies are bound to grow into assholes so it is no big loss if they die.

I am that guy who does not understand the "save the children first" mentality at all. A kid is a resource sink with barely any skills. Meanwhile an adult is commonly useful and has had a lot of training beaten into him. However, if you have a professional wielder and a toddler in a sinking boat and only one can be saved, people will regularly save the todler.

The issue I have is that producing a professional wielder takes resources and training so replacing him when he dies is going to be harder. Meanwhile, producing another todler is trivial.

People who try to counter-argue using my emotions towards horses as leverage usually ask me "So would you save an adult horse instead of a cute defenseless foal?" And the answer is "absolutely" (assuming healthy trained adult horse)

You have to also consider the flip side. A purple-haired democrat with a master's in lesbian interpretive dance theory will never be useful except as a foot soldier for the marxists. A child can potentially be made into a credit to society.

While its technically possible, most of the time they just get programmed.

But i hear they are going to "stop having sex with men" as a protest.  And getting hysterectomies to 'show those evil old white males, and their old white wives that support them, that we own our bodies, not them'.

I know its a minority and not everyone on the left are total lunatics, but these people are scary.. they get to be out in public with the rest of us..

and of course " if its about the baby, why isn't it all free, even diapers and baby food"  ..   ya 'everything free'.  tired of socialists. really, i am.

Amazon i offering to pay your way, up so 4k if you live in an oppressive state and have to drive somewhere to get an abortion.

Not getting into right or wrong of any act, just a question:

You live in state X where Y is illegal. So you drive to state Z as a visitor ( not relocation, you are still a legal resident of state X ), where act Y is legal and do act Y ( whatever it is ). When you return home to state X, does that make you a criminal?  I know it has in the past if you went to another country and did acts that are illegal in your home country, you are considered a criminal, when you return and can be prosecuted... Unsure if that ruling has changed. as i have never had to worry about it applying to me. ( and using "legal weed" in some states really isn't an example to follow as that is still illegal at the federal level. )

LOL I remember the last time they did that and were laughed out of the room with "hey, you're finally getting it!" jokes. The fact that they didn't learn from last time shows what a bubble the people live in, completely sheltered from the audience laughing at them.

Oh yea.  The "sex strike".  Everyone doing the supposed "sex strike" is a colored-hair fatally obese feminist.  Nice try with that strike, but everyone knows they haven't had any in several years, pawssibly even decades.

Even if they aren't obese or fat, being a feminist is something that makes a lot of guys (and even lesbian girls) nope the hell out of that relationship.

This is just the beginning, and he should have expected this. Much like Trump did, he has underestimated the destructive force that is coming for him. First his companies, then him at a personal level.

"direct threat to public safety", trying to open the door for legislation to shut him down.

( from NYT story, among other places )

Left-leaning NGOs — whose backers include billionaire financier George Soros and former Clinton operatives, as well as the European Union and the Canadian government — are urging a boycott of Twitter if Musk takes over the company.

“Who funds these organizations that want to control your access to information? Let’s investigate …,” Musk tweeted on Tuesday.

He added that “Sunlight is the best disinfectant.”

The letter, which was signed by 26 organizations, claimed that “Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter will further toxify our information ecosystem and be a direct threat to public safety, especially among those already most vulnerable and marginalized.”"

In cases like this, it does matter more than it seems.  Presidents can go off on their own and have SMO's without congress's approval. War, requires approval, and has other ramifications.  Much like 'emergency declarations' and 'executive orders'....

Its not just words, its a way around protections in the system.

I understand that those are the rules on paper, but any adherence to it - even in here the US, surely moreso in Russia - is only for show to give the people the illusion of some kind of limited government. I'm sure that whatever sort of approval Putin needs from his own government, he is plenty capable of getting it one way or another.
