Monica Lewinsky, of all people, is supposedly getting her own documentary.
if she doesn't commit suicide first or something i guess.

The genius behind "The Princess Bride" was William Goldman. NOT MEATHEAD.
Rob did his part. He was a meathead. He also had the same "boomer" sense that Stephen King and Steven Spielberg and George Lucas had. They're great story-tellers - or at least, know how to produce a story told in a way that connects. I'm sorry he went out in such a horrible way. I hated him on Twitter/X - and had words with him several times. That is the weird thing... Rob Reiner could post his trash online, I could respond and call him a meathead - and he would interact with me. Because I'm smart and well spoken and that engaged him to feel compelled to respond. I'm friends with Scott Baio too - because he and Alysissa Morano were arguing and I jumped in and destroyed her. That wasn't hard - to me - because she was an idiot. But Baio respected it, and sent me a friend request. Maybe one of the best moments of my life online, finding a friend request from Scott Baio in my X inbox.
I hated Rob Reiner not just for his Trump dergangement - but for his disparaging, dismissive, offensive opinions of the entire Right. He lumped me in with TERRIBLE people because I was on the right. He wasn't a good person.
I do not agree with Shaprio, with Walsh, with Tim Poole, with Candace Owens or Tucker Carlson - on multiple things. They never have lumped me in with an entire group of terrible people because I don't see totally eye to eye with their views.
And most of all in this regard, was Charlie Kirk. He literally just wanted to talk, and he knew there were people like myself, mostly on "his" side, who still disagreed with him on issues he felt were critical. He wasn't just civil and respectful to people like me - he was respectful and civil to people 180 degrees opposed to EVERYTHING he believed.
And Kirk would tell me to try and find compromise and understanding with Kirk, without compromising what *I* believe is true. He would have wanted me to be more measured and understanding with Reiner - which I wasn't. I was hostile and abrasive and aggressive. You know me, here - you know what I am like. I'm 100% more civil most of the time on Uncensored -because Ig has warned me a couple of times and I respect him.
So... I think Kirk would want us to feel the same way about Reiner as we feel about him. Sad about the tragedy of violence as opposed to discussion, anger instead of healing. Kirk would say Christ would have rather had both outcomes come to healing and salvation. We have two examples here of humanity not carrying out God's will of forgiveness, healing, love and respect for the fragility of life.
We've got to get past the part where we care if they did nor did not agree with us - and get to the point where our love and compassion is universal for all of humanity. Right, Left, Christian, Jew or Muslim, Indian or American or European. When someone dies - our singular desire should be that they found forgiveness through Christ's love before they passed.
The more we do, this, the more they'll hate us, but the more we win - if you believe in the Christian doctrines.
If you read this and it offends you or makes you uncomfortable or otherwise upsets you - I'll pray for you. Just let me know by the tone you respond to this post. I'm trying harder. I hope you do too.

Doing the normal sitting on the couch with the dog and cat watching either cat video or screensaver. ( since i lose interest anymore trying to watch something ).
But since i'm off this week and can stay up as long as i want.. figured id at least try .. Out of the blue, decided on watching the matrix. The ASCII version.
I am a sucker for everythin horse, so obviously I had to watch it. It is as bad and cheap as it sounds but I loved the movie. They give you all the reasons you need to hate on the humans, then you watch them die in gruesome ways.
This made me laugh, snort, actually and go, "I bet Nurb and I could get along pretty well in a world where politics weren't so divisive".
Because - that is something I'd totally do, and your lead-up to what got you there was spot on, too.
Full circle to... finding what we love about one another - instead of what we hate.

Unless it's full of jump scares, this is my kind of movie. So bad it's good, and you can root for the "bad guys" with no remorse.
Steering clear of the obvious political and propaganda connotations.. I read that the new movie about Melania is even worse than everyone expected, a complete train wreck. And what is with them keeping the media out of the premiere? Regardless of anything else, you need them to promote your show..

Not many jumpscares in it, so I say you give it a try.
I saw things on Facebook saying it is a surprise box office success - but... I didn't hear about it, and I don't *care*. It isn't something I want to see. I'll probably end up watching it on a flight when there is nothing else - like the Reagan one - which was actually decent... but I don't think I would have paid to see it at the box office.
We tried to watch the new The Running Man on Netflix recently and I dunno... the first 20 minutes, the guy who is gonna become the Running Man is walking around - a white guy, with a black baby, and he is poor and struggling, and his boss is an indifferent dick, and he goes back to his flat, which is a shitty apartment, and his wife, who works two jobs, is a black girl - and she is considering stripping...
The exposition is all so blatant and transparent and clumsy. I don't mind ANY of the themes - but the way it is all presented is all so hamfisted. But I'm watching it with my wife, and I don't wanna be "that guy," right - so I'm bearing down for the whole thing... and the dialog is just... terrible... transparent and obvious...
And at about 30 minutes, my wife goes, "This is horrible," and I was like "Oh God! Done!"
And that happens in MOST movies. She says, "I want to watch movies with you..."
I say, "we have to watch old movies... where they at least try to be clever about this agenda."

Depends on which bubble you're in, I guess.
"fans" were across political lines im sure.
I also heard ticket sales were scammed. Bought in bulk. Few people actually showed up.

But of course you did. The same thing has been said about every show that has succeeded or failed, for the last 10 years. I hate that partisans forget this.
They said it about - I can't remember - but a Left leaning show that the RIGHT wanted to fail but it sold out - that they simply bought out the theaters.
That wealthy interests with deep pockets bought out showings that NO one actually went to - that 7 or 8 people showed up for - but it showed as a sold out showing.
On both sides. So - if the Left did it - why wouldn't the Right do it?! You may be right.
But all that means is you can't trust statements like this on either side - that both sides have the ability to buy out all the seats with NO ONE showing up for the first couple of weeks, just to show that it was "popular". When - no one cared.
I think Occam Razor says - "no one cares," is the most likely answer.
We all just want to argue online about how "Our show" - the one that leans our way, sold out - and yours, "your show," the one that leans your way had 95% empty seats.
We don't care about TRUTH anymore - we care about my team beating yours.
But what if it is ALL a lie? What if no one cares? I think that is the biggest truth. 20% of us are politically motived - the other 80% just wants to be entertained and pacified.
