Now, don't get me wrong i am NOT on the 'man made climate change' train, but the reality is that here at least it has been warmer overall the last few years. Noticeably less snow ( for about 10 years now.  well, almost none, not had my blower out for a decade.. almost never shovel now... ) And spring storms are far more severe and more common, along with the tornadoes, high winds, flooding.. 

I could be wrong of course on a global scale, and it may be only regional due to slight changes in the jet streams, but I do believe that temps have increased just enough to notice, but, that said, its nature and the earth's natural cycles, not man.

( and while im not on the climate train, i do believe humans as a species are destroying everything.. paving things over, changing natural water patterns, killing everything they see... )

Is this the end of gasoline-powered cars? It feels like an attempt to kill them the same way they killed incandescent light bulbs, not by outlawing them outright but by setting impossible efficiency standards.

I'm hearing some people say things like "that number is the fleet average" but I can't find any reference to it.

*sigh* I would like to own an electric someday but I don't think we're ready for it to be ready yet. The grid isn't ready for everyone to have a charger and most of the electricity is still generated by hydrocarbon fuels anyway.

Electric vehicles will become a day-to-day reality someday. But this day is not today nor tomorrow.

Electric cars are fed by power generated by a mix of renewable sources and fossile fuels. In some nations it is more ecological to use electric cars because they renewable to "bad" fuels is good. For a lot of other nations, it is not. I think a whole lot of the push for electric cars we are seeing is due to political lobbying than actual advantages of the tech. I mean, if the tech was already there, everybody would already be buying it.

And yes, I have already been outpriced and forced into collective transport for many of my trips. Which is NOT a bad thing. I save money and I burn less fuel on the trip. Also, parking (having a garage or parking spot) is getting crazy expensive around here so my car does not see many trips.

As a german native, I remember from my childhood in the 80s that we had huge amounts of snow, went downhill on sledges at the "hills"of our local town and wearing snow boots. I did not need to buy snow boots for my son in the last three winters, we had about half a day of snow this winter. Even the Harz mountains had not had the amount of snow they are used to. About no snow the previous winter, but snow on easter weekend last year, which is rather uncommon here. In the last 5 years we had one winter I'd call "normal" with huge amounts of snow. While we had at least one ultra hot summer with people collapsing due to the heat.

This spring, one of our local dams is filled to around 38% while it should be at about 80%.

So, without any scientific research, it seems to me that most of the predictions about warmer winters seem not to have failed. But what makes this list ridiculous is that it does not cite any sources with facts that prove the predictions wrong. Also, there are studies from 2004 predicting weather of 2024 which are considered "failed". That is pretty impressive reasoning.
