hm, though its the wrong time of the year, tick bite infections tend to surpass hospitals (my mom had that some years ago...) so maybe another pointer to have a look at.
get well soon.
the_mgt:
The e-mail I sent for you here was bounced 25 hours ago. I do not see a way in the interface for me to correct it to something else.
wow, that channel is still active? Thought it died out for some reason....
Sorry to hear about your hospital stay, the_mgmt. Hope they figure it out soon and get you back on your feet!
Gnaa, second stay in hospital... they know the general direction of the cause, they claim that it wouldn't have happened again, but it did. Twice! And they also have the cojones to give me the same sorry excuses and the "Won't happen again" again. With a "most probably" added this time. We'll see.
They also have no föcking WiFi in hospital!
I registered my nick in the internet-email-aliases file here on my personal vcard and now it seems that i can receive mails there, fleeb. Can you resent the invite, if possible? I am sick at home now, for a week and would be more than happy to toy around in the game.
Just to continue abusing this thread: I have been to hospital a third time for the same shit :)
Will probably go for a fourth visit to another hospital, since my distrust for the first one is over 9000 now and I need some second opinion. Also, for the protocol: encephalitis totality sucks!
fleeb: The email/invite issue still didn't work out, but I found refuge in Pikmin (New play control) on my wii. :)
Fun stuff:

I especially like Rom Check Fail. I remember most of the moving targets, but can't remember the names of all the games.

Link pretty much describes it: Some guy plays Civilisaition2. Since 10 years.
Does this instantly make lots of games available or does it simply make them portable by the game developers?
The big thing about Steam is that it allows a lot of smaller, indepedent game studios to utilize an alternate method of publishing their software.
Keep in mind that Steam was first released on MS Windows, so most, if not all of the games, are geared towards that platform. Given that, my guess is that Steam on Linux will have the same utility as the Steam apps for mobile phone OSes. You'll be able to access your account, change settings, chat with friends, check out statistics, browse through the game catalog and make purchases, etc.
With WINE, though, there's a chance that a number of those games will run on Linux as well. I'm curious what Valve's stance is on that; whether it's something they've considered or not.
Steam Binder
from what i've read at least some of those using steam as their distribution channel are trying to port their games to linux.
since i.e. the indie humble bundle and the ubuntu market shows that linux users are willing to purchase games (which was always denied in advance)
10% of the HIB were linux purchases, though 18% of the money transfered originated from linux purchasers (since HIB alowes you to choose the price you pay...)
@Spell: HIB == https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humble_Indie_Bundle
@fleeb: I just got invited to Glitch, finally!!
Gratz on the invite! I'm 'A Fleebness' in the game.
I have three more invites to offer now, so they must be opening the game to others.
