Thu Mar 24 2011 12:33:37 EDT from IGnatius T Foobar @ UncensoredI stopped playing LOTRO after I showed up with a flamethrower and an AK-47 and they threw me off the server for using anachronistic weapons. (Someone should build RIFTS Online.)
RIFTS Online?
This is probably something else:

They basically set up a world where every genre can cross over into every genre. And it was a pretty clever setup too. We had an awesome GM, so I'm sure that helped, but I really enjoyed the game.
It would probably be really hard to translate into an online game.
Oooh, now I have headache. :-D
No first person point of view games for me in any way, shape or form.

Wed Apr 06 2011 06:59:35 AM EDT from fleeb @ UncensoredI didn't know you weren't a touch-typist!
heh, even when I'm looking I'm not that good of a typist, but I'm getting better (only taken about 10 years to get to moderately proficient)
learn dvorak or colemak, there won't be an option to touchtyping then.
plus everyone else can't use your keyboard ;-)

What it should really do is pick up your chair and rotate you along with the screen. That would be cool.
depends.
when chatting I can see how fast my gf types, and sche is fast.
I sometimes end up in trouble reading all she typed and reacting in time.
She's around 600 c/s, so she would be able to saturate the early telewriter lines.
Rumor on the street is that the new controllers will have touchscreens built into them, and that they will be used both to augment traditional on-screen games, and to enable new games that can be played directly on the controllers with the TV turned off.
Should be interesting.
