But hey, at least the class is free.

Where did you find a free CEH class?

The lead security guy over here has that cert and proudly displays it to pretty much everyone.

Free in the sense that the Army paid for it. I think it ran us 1500 per head, including the 500 test fee.

The cert is a joke and would have no value if it were not a requirement for doing IT computery things for DoD. I pulled an 86 on the test; this does not make me a k-rad 3l33+ h4x0r.

This is reflective of at least 75% of the pre-sales meetings I've attended.  Cracked me up.

Ok, so far 1 hour sunk in.  The TV show reviews etc, not so much, but the rest is great.

Thanks!

"This bid is for building a bridge for a fixed price.  We are not going to tell you how many lanes, or even where it starts and ends, and we will only pay you when we have signed off that we are satisfied with the end result.  However, we will only accept the lowest bidder and no pricing adjustments will be permitted."

Whenever I get an email that begins "I know you are on vacation, but..."

I mentally add "...but I don't care, because I don't respect your personal time, and in any case I'm an incompetent boob who only knows how to get by through bugging other people who actually know how to do stuff."

Welcome to test week.

In this week, everyone who actually knows how the product will be used will be away handling other company functions, and probably won't be able to get to you until the following day (maybe).

Meanwhile, it's Spring, and the trees are starting to bloom, which should help force your immune system to rise to the (non-) challange. This should leave you feeling sleepy, and generally lethargic.

Should you somehow get through this week and accomplish testing the product, nobody will know. The product is stealthy that way.

Stay motivated, and welcome to Test Week!

<laughs>  You did.  About half-a-dozen posts up.  It's still every bit as good tho!  :-)

Or perhaps I should be more specific - you saw it *twice* several posts up and another here.  It's that good.

If you cannot type in a URL you should not be using a computer.

that is all.

One doesn't 'type' in a URL.

One 'clicks' URLs.

Have the user click their mouse on a picture of a keyboard to help form the URL they wish to see.

You just need to remember that the virtual keyboard has to actually try to go to each web site on each character clicked. So:

h

(attempts to go to 'h', which obviously fails)

t

(attemps to go to 'ht')

t

(attempts 'htt')

p

(attempts 'http')

... and so on.
