strange things happen in the dark.
something like getting my dork on while dancing an anti-jig.
oh the thermographic peeping toms understand that i look terrible in green skin.
Somewhat along that line of thinking, I dreamed recently that I saw an old photograph of myself as a kid, and I looked like an african-american.
Which I'm pretty sure is exactly what I did not look like as a kid. Or at any other point in my life.
Now I dream about getting orders submitted for publication and getting people into schools and getting behind in submitting pay fixes and other administrative BS. That's pretty irritating.
Maybe you need to spice up your administrative life with some improve song performances at bizarre times.
what did you guys think about the movie "inception"
right up there with the first "matrix" movie

Matrix was a great movie. Too bad they didn't make any sequels.
I may have some undirected frustrations and angers lurking in my psyche.
Which is news to me, as I haven't exactly been feeling that way.
Last night, I had these dreams where Madam Anthrax kept yelling at me as I tried to accomplish something I no longer remember, but kept having problems beyond my control. I wasn't precisely angry with her (although I wasn't happy about the yelling), as much as frustrated with not accomplishing my goal, whatever it involved.
So, if dreams reflect some of what goes on in the hidden places of our mind, I think I may have some frustrations and angers lurking in my psyche. It has to be work... oh... I think I just worked it out.
I think I'm still frustrated about my financial setbacks. I need to replace a crown, and my car suffered a flat tire. I also had to have some plumbing work done. These all have hit me at pretty close to the same time, and I lack the income to do this without getting a tad concerned.
I bet this has frustrated me, and I've been ignoring it. Hmm. Not much I can do about it, except try to make more money (which is happening this year).
I didn't appreciate the value of a budget at all until I got into debt over my head and ended up in a situation with little-to-no surplus cash. I've been in a similar situation where a number of events happened all at once, and I didn't have the funds for it all. I'm hopefully at a point now where I'll have a positive cash-flow again, and the first action is to save back as much as I can. That way, I'll have a buffer in case of any unexpected expenses. After that, it'll be saving up for known, expected, expenses, like regular maintenance on the cars, taxes, etc. Then, hopefully, I can start saving up for the niceties like new floors, kitchen counters, etc.
Budget Binder
I have a working budget. It's just unanticipated expenses happening at about the same time.
But, this will pass. And my paycheck has become more regular now. The question is really one of what will the future hold... quite a bit of potential to do some awesome stuff in the next year or two, but I've grown somewhat pessimistic, despite some lingering optimism.
Subject: 8 hour sleep vs. two 4 hour sleeps?
Subject: Re: 8 hour sleep vs. two 4 hour sleeps?
I'm not really in possession of enough knowledge to have an opinion of the relative merits of one 8-hour sleep vs. two 4-hour sleeps, but I have to admit the latter does sound appealing. (Of course, the idea of actually getting a full 8 hour sleep every night sounds appealing too!)
It was food for thought, reading the article after having been awoken by a wrong number phone call at about 5:00am and then not being able to fall asleep again. And I thought of it again the next morning after being woken up by a spam text message. Unfortunately I can't silence my phone because I need to be reachable by the office around the clock.
Going to sleep when it gets dark ... what an appealing idea. Of course, to do that, our society would need to eliminate prime time television (no big loss there) as well as late night computer sessions (ummmm...)
I mostly try to let my body do its thing, with regards to sleep. I might push it a little farther, just so I sleep better. Unfortunately, work tends to prevent me from falling asleep in the middle of the day if I feel a need to do so.
better than coffee, sometimes I don't even have to sleep but close my eyes and shut off the world for ten minutes and I feel energized.
Back at base, I slept for 3 hours at a time, max. I would cat nap in the company office all day in between missions, but I always slept great in the field.
"yes there were a bunch of wires and tubes attached to my head."
I started taking melatonin and that seems to help.
Also I hear you can get some wacky dreams.
