thanks - that one, he has the left eye still a bit more closed. A lot of the time, it's as open as the right and you absolutely can't see any difference. It's incredible.

I almost felt like it was a different kid in the beginning.

Called my doctor's office to have another look at the finger I dislocated (still very swollen - although I do expect it to be pissed off for quite some time). They found my records, which they lost previously; and I'm able to get an appointment the same day I made it. Whoa.

So the achievement is dialing the phone with a dislocated finger? :)

No, the achievement is a same-day doctor's visit.

Went to an old-fashioned barber shop. Live music in the back room, jokes told every few minutes, it's Mayberry warmed over. The shop is famous. The Smithsonian and the London Times love the place. We were discussing the latest bigfoot sighting near the Cleveland County line. That commercial with sasquatch has got someone going around here in a gorilla suit, and making big tracks with big wooden feet.

Classic barber shops are teh r0x0r. Mine doesn't have live music, though.
That's pretty cool.

Around here the "real" barbers are all Italian so you can pretty much count on there being soccer on TV, which means I got my hair cut to the nonstop drone of vuvuzela horns yesterday.

The Barber Shop is in the Smithsonian collection as photos, interviews, and a film.

Don't be so sure. Some people love to be around children every day.

Small Achievment: Ran 5 Kilometers in 37 minutes, a personal best :)

Not bad for a girl who will be 46 in 10 days.

Wow... busy day here.
Got up around 1100... taht's early for me on a day where I didn't plan
on riding. Went shopping; army-navy surplus, performance cycle, and
target.

Picked up a sleeping pad and 50ft of parachute cord at the surplus
store.
New front tire and muffler packing at performance, tried on some other
helmets too since the ones I like are discontinued.
Got an ipod dock/speaker deal at target.

When I got home FedEx had been by and dropped off a box of more parts,
new chain, new knee guards, a hybrid CO2 inflator/pump, chain breaker,
and some ThumperTalk stickers.

Built a shelf for ipod speakers in the garage.
Cleaned/oiled the air filter.
Pulled exhaust apart, old packing out, new packing in.
Old chain off, clean up rear wheel spacers/bearings, pack them full of
grease again, and put on the new chain.
Front tire off, clean up front wheel spacers/bearings, pack them
full of
grease again, and spoon on the new MT21.
One 16g CO2 cartridge will take a front tire from 4lbs to 24lbs real
quick. This thing's way cool... "Second wind MTB inflator"... takes
either threaded or non-threaded cartridges, and the pump's quicker than
I thought it'd be.

One week till I leave for a week's vacation/riding in Yellowstone and
Darby, MT... \o/
