Is it true that dust is mostly composed of the dead skin cells of the building's occupants? That's kind of gross.

I always find it remarkable that when I cut into a wall, the space inside is not filled with dust. It's usually very clean.

I'm not sure which is more disappointing -- the fact that we can't have fun conversations about things like this anymore because the answer is just a quick web search away, or the fact that this dude managed to stretch a quick web search out to an entire video.

Wow, I missed this.

You asked a question, I showed you an answer to your question, you complained the answer.

Well, if you MUST know, it is really annoying but let me try and give you an answer. I don't exactly have time for this, and you should really do this research yourself. You're quite an imposition, you know? I can't believe how frequently you expect me to do this for you... but the answer is... 42.

From the looks of the air in my house when there is strong sunlight coming in the window ... most of it is cat hair around here.

I live in Arizona. Most of it is sand, here.

20 years without human intervention, I am certain we would be a bunch of sand dunes.

Mazal tov, everybody! My daughter is engaged and getting married next month!

Shes 21, he’s 25 and from Baltimore and she will be moving there. Sad, I’m going to miss her too much.

Shes still working on her psychology degree online and hopefully she will finish it. Otherwise she has a job already lined up as a teachers assistant.

Mazal Tov to you as well (and shabbat shalom, but I know you won't read this until after shabbat, obviously)

Congratulations are due on all of the good things listed above. I have to admit though, having one of my children move away has got to be my worst nightmare.
Where did they meet?

Thanks, Ig!

I also feel sadness mixed with the happiness when I think about her not living here anymore. A matchmaker put them together. my husband’s good friend learns at Yeshiva in Staten Island, and this boy also learned at the same yeshiva. they know my husband there, because he’s a doer. He drives the Rosh Yeshiva (the head of the Yeshiva) sometimes and helped him out with his connections when he traveled to Israel. So they knew my husband and he didn’t stop all last year asking everyone if they knew someone for our daughter. And a matchmaker thought of this boy for our girl. Both sides agreed. So they went out two months and decided to get engaged.

Adina went to Baltimore for this weekend, they were picking out beds and looking for furniture and hopefully discussing details about the wedding. She’s driving back today.

Big changes like that are exciting and sad to me too. Like Marilyn was planning to move to washington for her masters before she decided nursing wasn't for her. When it came up it was years away and yet I was still instantly sad that she wouldn't be RIGHT HERE.

Yeah ... you already know that's a huge issue for me, it sort of became a depressive obsession when my kids were 4 and 9 (they're now 16 and 21). So far I think I've gotten lucky and my kids are both as fearful of them moving away as I am. Fortunately the IGlet decided to study locally (he's a junior at Lehman College with a 3.8 cumulative GPA -- pretty nice for an autistic kid whose 11th grade English teacher literally told him he wasn't going to succeed) and is planning to get his masters degree locally and will probably marry his girlfriend who lives in the same town we do.
