Got a call this morning from their IT director.
Won a free 32GB iPod touch. \o/
Been sending their stuff back for calibration for the past few months.
They've got this slick automated cal system... punch in the model/serial
numbers, their system pulls up original PO's, our
co/address/email/contacts/phones, so i don't have to enter that in every
time. Even prints out a mailing label at the end. When you put in more
than 6 the page renders kinda funny on the bottom, let them know about
that... tehy hadn't run into that before. But as far as ease of finding
info and getting returns going... one of the better sites i've used.
The Rayniac Zoo is up to 17 occupants.
Three cats, two dogs, a rat, guinea pig, two bearded dragons, two tokay geckos, two crested geckos and four corn snakes.
(and there's a turtle coming soon)
An aquarium. which will be ready for fish to live in by Wednesday. Very serendipitous timing too, since the local stockist is having a promotioin granting a 10% discount to people buying fish next week :)
Reviews come around every june for us.
Mid-may was the first I started hearing about it this year.
First week of june I got the self-review the company implemented this
year.
Turned that in the beginning of the 2nd week, expecting to be brought in
for reviews later that week or early the following week.
Well... Afternoon of the last work day of the month, boss calls me into
his office. "I was wondering when the review was coming up... did the
self-eval weeks ago..." ... "Yeah, I needed to get all the reviews done
before july, so here we are :D"
No talk of raises at all during the review. It wasn't brought up, and I
didn't bring it up. Did go over accomplishments n' shit. All went
well.
Boss called me in this afternoon and gave me the good news. DIdn't
expect to see as big a raise as I got, either. And when I heard the
budget for raises/bonuses... well... the company -really- likes me.

Some bottles of Diesel 911 for friends. It's hard, downright impossible to find in the South when you need it.

I see 'Diesel 911', and I think it's somehow related to this (since I have no idea what it really is):

Diesel 911 will stop fuel gelling after it occurs. It happens here on pickups, not usually on VW TDi's.
The VW TDis have glow plugs to help with that.
I might have once experienced gelling severe enough that the car wouldn't start... and I think that was because, at the time, I wasn't driving longer distances.
I should have added: it will stop it in the fuel tank. It will also unfreeze diesel in the fuel filter. There is a warmer VW sells for their filter base, I think. It can get NY kind of cold in the counties north of here. I suggest visiting tdiclub.com for info.
