Pretty screwed up, but we probably didn't need the overvaluation of Facebook to tell us that. :)
With you on that - I can't even get that far!
Just thought you'd all like to know.
For reasons beyond common sense, I let my NY drivers license lapse to the point of no return before getting an Israeli license, which means that I have to get a license starting from scratch (written test, 28 lessons, road test).
There's a site that has sample written tests on it, and I've been taking them daily. I'm down to getting 2/30 wrong on tests. You're allowed up to 5 wrong, so they'd count as passing. The questions are insane. There are something like 200 signs that you're supposed to know, plus rules like how high the payload can be on trucks up to 1.5 tons vs on trucks up to 3 tons....It's a lot harder than the NY test. Anyway, I'm planning on taking the written test early next week...but the more practice tests I take, the more I get nervous... blah.
The book, btw, totally sucks. It's just shy of unreadable.
wish me luck, I guess.
The flight would cost more than the 28 or so lessons, and I really don't have anything to do in New York for a couple weeks while I wait for a road test date...
It would be easier, but between the cost of a flight and hanging out in NY for several weeks...and I'd still have to take a road test here when I got back. Better to just get it over with here.
