Huh.   Is everyone around Uncensored a huge Trump fan? I'm not talking about feeling a little less hate for Trump than you feel for Clinton, but all-out loving for Trump? Seriously?

No, I thought it was more than obvious people were not all out lovers of Trump.  Mr. Foobar has a teenage girl crush on the man, but I didn't think anyone else did.

I will be happy if he puts term limits on congress critters.

Nope.  Not everyone.  Some are foes, some are at-least-hes-better-than-Hillary.

I myself, however, am a superfan.

If this is true I admire Trump more.  Trump to ask for $1 a year salary as president.

I know, he stands to make a lot more money, bla bla bla, but I am glad he will do it.  I don't think any public servant should get paid.  Give them room and board, but don't give them a salary.

That's a great way to guarantee only the rich ever bother to run for office (or should I say, *another* great way...)

Shazam, Quite a few of us are just watching the show in the room without comment.  ;-)

I am also willing to admit that he is not 100% all bad, and most likely I will be OK. But I wouldn't do anything over-the-top insane, like vote for him. But I have been surrounded with pro-Trump for months and months so I am sure I've heard it all. My 17 year son is a big Trump fan (his twin sister is not) my husband is pro-Trump, I am not. One of my brothers is exceedingly pro-Trump, the other was exceedingly anti. It's amazing how divisive this election has been.

Ig, I hear you that you believe he is going to be actually good for America, not just better than Clinton would have been, but actually actually good. Just without attacking, and you probably heard him speak more than I did because I kept turning him off, but I want to ask you something. Now either could (would?) start a war, but Trump kind of sounds like he'd really like to. We both have sons that are nearly draftable age. It doesn't bother you?

How dare you interrupt our inane hyperbole with your reasonable discussion!  ::grin::

Ok, let's start off with what I believe has been a big problem: there are two Donald Trumps.  One is the caricature painted by the media: a racist misogynist buffoon who is BFF with Vlad Putin and wants to make it illegal to not be a KKK member.  Ok maybe that's a little hyperbolic, but not by much!  The other is the actual man: a guy with a big brain, a big heart, and a big mouth, who has some good ideas to restore American prosperity and security.  That's the man we voted for.

I'm curious as to what fuels your suspicion that he will start a war.  Mr. Trump strikes me as the most non-interventionist president that we will have had in quite a while.  It is a striking difference from the Bush-neocon "the bombing will continue until we have forced you to have a democracy" approach, or the Obama/Clinton "mismanage the world into destruction" approach.  Mr. Trump appears to be focused on domestic security far more than in getting involved in foreign affairs (although he did promise to improve our relationship with Israel after all the damage done by the previous administration).

What he will likely do, however, is start a trade war.  And that's one I think we will win.  We are holding all of the good cards.

My husband thinks similar to you, that the "on the campaign" Trump was a great big show and he could be as outrageous as he wanted, but now he will be much more reasonable and realistic. I agree about the trade war, but I found it surprising how he had talked so flippantly about just nuking people. A president needs to be a foreign diplomat in other countries in the world, and it feels like "diplomat" is not something he understands. He has a tremendous sense of pride, which can be nice, to say that he is proud of America and won't allow anyone to just spit on us and take that sort of thing lying down. But sometimes in life it's just wiser to accept a little spit if it means not escalating every little affront into a full-out war. Possibly too much pride, coupled with an unwillingness to ever back down from anyone or anything, even when he's wrong, aren't necessarily the best qualities in a diplomat. If he is given the opportunity to start an unnecessary war because his pride was injured, do you think he will pause to weigh the costs and benefits? He doesn't come over as the kind of man who stops to do that. I hope I'm wrong, and I hope that the wild no-one-can-control-him "campaign Trump" proves himself to be a level-headed president when the circumstances require it.

Hillary supporter:  Trump will start a war, I can't support him.
Trump supporter:  Hillary will start a war, I can't support her.

Jill Stien (Green Party Candidate) felt Hillary was more likely than Trump to start a war.  I never get an answer from my liberal friends who complained about "Bush's wars", why do they support Obama who has continued "Bush's wars" in Iraq and Afghanistan, has not closed Gitmo as he promised, who has started new military engagements, and who has over thrown governments.  They say they don't support these things but yet they vote for them.
Why did they support Hillary who voted for the wars as senator and who was Secretary of State during these conflicts and overthrowing of governments?

The thing about "big show" is that it tends to be very effective and successful.

Mr. Trump knows how to "BE the President."  He has a big personality and a gravitas that commands a room.  This is a talent that not all presidents have.  Reagan had it.  Bill Clinton had it.  Bush and Obama most certainly did not have it.  Hillary Clinton has whatever the opposite is ... a repulsion that would have caused a lot of televisions to get broken from hurled projectiles.

I'm trying to understand how anyone could perceive Mr. Trump as a war hawk, when he's spent the entire campaign telling everyone that the previous two administrations have been way too interventionist and we need to back off.

IG, Seems to me that people don't actually think he's a war hawk out to spread military might; people fear that his impulsiveness, vindictiveness, lack of common empathy, and tirades will either a) Piss off some other sociopath (either who does or does not have nuclear weapons) to launch an attack against the US or b) GET pissed off at some Dudley do-right who doesn't snivel up to him, like Angela Merkel and launch out of spite and impulsivenss.

Trump put Reince Fucking Priebus as Chief of Staff.

The guy is an insider hack.

So much for draining the swamp.

In much better news, he's considering John Bolton for SecState, and Westchester's Rob Astorino for head of HUD. Astorino has been fighting HUD and their un-American housing policies for years now.

Ronald Proto-Trump Reagan had his George Hitler Wanker Bush; Donald Trump has Rinse Penis. Could prove to be just as problematic. On the other hand, Bannon is a good pick -- the fact that the Hitlers hate him so much indicates as much.

Astorino is a good pick, but we'll miss him here in Westchester. I can only imagine what Hillary-UD would have done ... probably expanded Section 8 to mandate that you provide free room and board to "refugees" if your home is bigger than 750 square feet.

One of the many reasons the coming Trump administration has such an air of euphoria about it is that we might finally see the end to having various government departments and agenices "weaponized" and used as a cudgel to beat political opponents.

I really, really, really want Sarah Palin appointed to a cabinet position.
Partially because she's smart and patriotic and will get the job done ... but partially because it will make the Hitlers have some of the largest cranial explosions we've ever seen.

In any case, the best thing the Trump Administration can do is simply IGNORE any criticism coming from the Left of its staff picks. If Mr. Trump has taught us anything, it's that we LOSE when we let the Left define the narrative and then play defense. We WIN when we focus on the fact that conservative/nationalist policies are objectively superior and produce greater peace and prosperity.

The Left's most effective weapon is its use of identity politics. Divide people into little groups and then set them against each other, always trying to convince everyone that they are part of an "out" group, always making an enemy of "THEM" (everyone else) and promising that The Government will be the savior of the special interest group. Take away the weapon of identity politics, and you take away almost all of the Left's ability to manipulate people into thinking they want a socialist government.

Where is Seal Team Six, and why haven't they taken out Soros yet?

Sorry zooer, but your strikethroughs don't appear in the text client, and Sarah Palin is smarter than you ... or me, for that matter. FTFY summarily rejected.

So now it seems that Ted Bush Cruz is being considered for AG. He ought to be forced to make a public apology for his attempts to interfere with Trump's candidacy, and swear an oath of loyalty to the administration under which he will be serving.

I will also accept a James Hetfield style declaration "BUSH BAD! TRUMP GOOD!"
