The "consenting adults" thing seems to be the appropriate outlook, at least
from a common sense point of view. However one feels about the subject, it's
none of the government's business to decide who can get married and who can't.
It's a civil affair and you go with what you feel fits your own moral framework.

I'd like to see people show some respect for a change. Special interest groups using the government as a cudgel to beat each other with doesn't help the situation. People trying to use the Bible to justify absolutely indefensible positions doesn't help either.

Hanlon's Razor applies here. It's very typical for conference organizers to give out a lot of bags... and then notice discarded ones all over the hallways. Ceasing to give out the bags is a rational response, but a better response is to require those who want one to pre-register for it. I've seen this used to good effect.
