Remove the political spin, which i agree is heavy, and just read it as 'these things happened', over several administrations, on both sides, for decades.  It's pretty scary what the are setting us up for.  TLDR;  the passing of laws and orders to be so vague that if you even think of publicly agreeing with a "unapproved" group, and not falling in line as you are ordered to by the feds, you might go to prison too.
