I checked my version running 9.01 and it works... so whatever happened in between there would be the culprit. I wonder if it happened with the conversion to escaped strings..

Best I can tell from looking at the code is that tabnames[] is not getting populated, hence nothing to fill the tab name with.

webcit/tabs.c:wc_printf("%s", tabnames[i]);

Included is a screenshot of the current state... This is from compile against master -

Notice the (no-(no on the tabs...

Any update on this? Also, while you are at it, I am encountering a couple

users who end up with 50 - 100 copies of their addresses in their vcard.

The fix has just gone in and is now available via Easy Install or source tarballs.

There was a bug in the contact editor template that caused it to save any edited contact on top of your own personal information. This is obviously a problem (and may explain some other reports of email address problems).
It's been fixed.

Please take it for a spin and let me know if there are any other issues.

Subject: Customizations wiped out upon update

When building from git, the customizations within the citadel folder get wiped out. It would be good to have a citadel form of the static folder in webcit to keep changes which are customized before upgrade.

Subject: Force delete of a room

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I am still facing the issue of an undelete-able room within one of my users, as well as the aide user. Is there a command I can issue to force delete that room?

The room name is

0000000001.BASEROOM

which was set somehow by a mail client with a folder named 1.Blah which the server renamed and then would not allow me to edit or delete.

Subject: Check Version of Citadel?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I just updated via easy_install, but how do I determine what version I'm actually running now?

And of course, as soon as I post this, I find it on the summary page. Not where I ever think to look for version info. On another topic, anyone ever got one of the ics sync tools on Android to manage to upload changes from the Android calendar to the Citadel calendar? I've tried several current ones and while they download the calendar entries just fine - the upload either "succeeds" with no changes, the upload fails, or for one app (the most expensive one) it managed to just wipe my calendar on citadel.Thunderbird manages the calendar just fine.

Does this setting only apply to public room creation, or will someone who does not have room creation permission (because of level) not be able to create personal rooms for mail folders as well?

Subject: installation failed database too old?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hi

I am using this application as a mailserver, but now it is telling me that the database is no longer supported

There is a citadel-install log included.

What can i do about this besides urging the developers to upgrade their easy  install procedure for citadel, what maybe prove to be a lost cause<?>

If you want to reply to this email then do so to  peterthesing@gmail.com.

Thanks in advance.

were you trying to do a new install, or an upgrade?

I just recently did an easy install with no issues. Did you try more than once? What distro are you trying to install on?
