"Samsung will start charging for SmartThings API access" https://www.engadget.com/2202497/samsung-will-start-charging-for-smartthings-api-access/
Full screen popup ( phone ) on starting an app. "you need to update your app" and of course it points to another app that paid them for the AD. Google really needs to step in and stop that crap. If you get ads, they stay at the bottom clearly marked as AD. Anything else is fraud and there should be suits filed. and companies pounded into the ground.
Like the launcher which went in to the dump that started inserting fake app icons in the app list.. "i never installed that" hoping you push it by mistake and then install it.
Of course both are cause to remove the offending app and choose another. ( but unfortunately in this new case, its for my watch.. that i rarely wear, and wasn't like this before.. And with out the app, its just a watch, and not a great one, so, into the garbage can it goes )
Scumbags.

So Bezos is also filling our skies with crap. I wonder when the Kessler effect takes effect.
"Amazon says it now has enough satellites operating in low-Earth orbit to light up its Starlink internet competitor. With last night’s launch, Amazon Leo has 396 satellites deployed, which is “enough to support continuous service across initial latitudes,” according to Chris Weber, VP heading up business and product for Amazon Leo. That puts the company on track to meet its “mid-2026” target for commercial availability. Just don’t expect miracles on day one."

Well, most of them do. Just right now those are 2 of the largest.

And another company run by elites that pretends to run on 'do no evil' for marketing reasons. Trust no one other than yourself.

It baffles me that any industry trusts China at all. They openly lie cheat and steal, and the world just keeps doing business with them.
Just like the rest of the world's industries and large players. Really, in the bigger picture they are no better or worse than anyone else in that way.

If it wasn't for ad blockers, i doubt id be online at all. Accidentally hit a web page with my pixel ( long unimportant story )... what in the hell. it was endless ads. was curious so i scrolled, they never ended after about 30 i gave up.. ... for about 3 lines of actual content buried between them.
How the hell do people do this?
2026-07-12 17:47 from Nurb432People do this because they are retarded. By the way, don't forget to load your pixel with adblockers while you are at it.

Good. Everyone needs to drop anything that is related to broadcom, they are garbage and need to be run out of business, and their founder/leaders run out of town. ( well vmware sucks too now, but that's not the real point )

Screw you.
And speaking of ads. time to boycott LG

TLDR; They are secretly installing apps to give you ads on computer monitors. Not even TVs..
And right on schedule, Sam Scumbag Altman is petitioning Trump to ban access to opensource AI models to US citizens. Since companies like NVIDIA survive on the "open market", with luck they stand up and prevent it from happening.. but...
And i heard the latest AI guy in DC got let go. He worked for Antropic at one point i guess, and now that they wont play ball and let their AI be used to kill people, past ties aren't acceptable, and out you go!

The web experience without ad blockers really is jarring once you've gotten used to the ad-free version.
It's sort of a reminder that yes, it actually is that bad. But that's ok.
Let the crowds of people who don't deserve to have computers in the first place pay for the infrastructure. They'
ve already rotted their brains on Facetokgram and are no longer viable.
Being in public in general has become this way, its sad really. But i do tend to ignore 99% of the signs out there. They are freaking everywhere. But really hard to ignore it when its overlapping what you are trying to read..
Today's "Marketing Enterprises" need to meet the same fate i suggest for data centers.

Damned door to door solicitors. i have 2 signs. one at the walk way, another on the actual door. Point one out " im not selling im with the marketing department " wtf. tell to the cops when they find you.
We have clear signs as you enter town "permit required. ordnance enforced" and part of that permit is to accept a 50 dollar fine if you ignore signs on homes. ( at least used to be 50, may be more now )
Had a run-in years ago when i yelled at some 'witnesses' at my door "we re not selling" And didn't want to back off.. "the f-you are not selling something. You are now a trespasser, get off my property or you may meet what you are selling in person". Same summer i had 2 approach me in person at the park " back off or i will consider this an attack and will respond accordingly"
